Woof!!! The artwork is so busy and doesn't work at all on a marquee. This show is fighting an uphill battle.

I second that! HAHAHA! (And, I bet there's many more like us!)
Huey Lewis was also on the show and Jimmy interviewed him about the show. They discuss changes being made at one point.

Can't believe they chose that song to showcase the show. Meh!

My thought also. I listened to about a minute it and went to the kitchen. I did pop back in to look at her dress though! It was quite cute!

I had no idea what you were talking about until I saw the subway ad and WOWWW that is BUSY. There’s no way that’s a multi million dollar marketing agency. This whole show is a damn anomaly.

Now that we have ourselves a discount code, I have to ask:
"How is the view from the balcony at the James Earl Jones?"
I was going to get a front row, balcony ticket, but I've seen some pictures that make me think the views can be rather obstructed due to safety bars/lighting equipment/etc.
What do you all think?
Think I am going to use TDF for this one. Says seats might be in the mezzanine or balcony.

Huge flash sale announced on Insta tix as low as $29 24 hour only

I wonder if in addition to the flash sale, they lowered the standard prices.
I got front row, center balcony, on Saturday, June 1st, for $59. - I assumed it was part of the flash sale, but now I'm thinking that it might not be.
Either way, I got the kind of "deal" I had been looking for for a while.

Front row balcony has no legroom according to people's reviews on seatplan. View looks pretty good though.

Eek!
Is is true that if the show hasn't sold that well...which, sorry to say,I'm not expecting for this...they'll let you move back to a more comfortable row? (File this under "Questions I Never Thought I'd Ask!" HAHAHA!)

this show is still undercapitilized by quiet a bit
I just took a peek at Telecharge and the first preview on Friday is... maybe half full. Typically a first preview is an easy full house for a production. And the houses only seem to get worse for its first week. I seriously wonder if this can feasibly even make it to opening night.

GEEZ! And, I thought I was playing it safe getting a ticket for June 1st.
Hopefully, your're wrong. (But, you & the few posts about yours make a compelling argument.)

Yeah…the first preview in less than 2 days (post flash sale), is still only about half sold. And pretty much every performance after that is 75-90% wide open, including its opening night, on April 22nd.
This is gonna be another KPop I think, where they limp through previews and then announce a close shortly after opening.
I’m going on opening night since they were selling the $19.85 box office tickets for that date (first clue things were not all good).
The problem is the season is over saturated as had been explained to death, and this is a late entry of a show that nobody particularly asked for. It should’ve come later to fill the gap left by A BEAUTIFUL NOISE. I’m honestly shocked though that many of these shows entering previews haven’t popped up on papering services yet since some of them could really use the boost.
I see on the Theatr app the amount of people hocking tickets for Suffs and Lempicka and I can’t help but wonder if shows that have a more mixed to negative word of mouth correspond to the increase in volume of secondary market tickets.

I know why shows can be undercapitalized and still announce an opening night/house, even all the way up to opening night. I know why, but I'll never understand why...
Is this show going to be the next “Room”? I mean the next “My Son’s a Queer But What Can You Do?”
I think it’s getting lost in the shuffle. It’s the one new musical this season that I keep forgetting. Hopefully it gets good word of mouth when it starts performances.

Truly bonkers that Gutenberg had to give up the Jones for this...

The only way this wouldn't make it to opening is if they weren't able to make weekly payroll. Who knows how much they have in their reserves at this point. Folks keep saying that it's under capitalized, but as long as they were able to put up the bond, they can go forward until the money runs out.
The biggest chunk of running cost for this show would be music royalties, and I would be willing to bet that Huey Lewis is giving them a break on that.
This show is the 2024 version of Escape to Margaritaville meets Getting the Band Back Together meets Bad Cinderella. I seriously don't understand what they are thinking.
