Is Lena the standby for the tour? Did they only hire a female standby to cover for Lena if she goes on? Will there be a male standby later in the tour?

just checked the show's website and noticed the band also has two standbys. Were there also standbys for the band on Broadway?

New Merch - a few Darren items (CD, totebag), Black Hedwig women's shirt (pink text) - runs very small. White tshirt (Geography of Human Contact); window card with Darren's face, Lena's name

Old Merch - 2 magnets (face and title), mug, script, shroud, hoodie

I think it's interesting that Criss, the youngest of the Hedwigs and one known for playing a variety of "super chill dudes" onstage and onscreen, has developed the reputation of being the "seething rage Hedwig."

For anyone that has seen the tour:

1. How do they do the Wig In A Box car quick change?

2. Does Darren still rise during Wicked Little Town Reprise?

I'm just curious since they can't build into the stage floor for the tour.

New to posting but have lurked on the boards for about a year.  Curious about the new merchandise that sacteach mentioned.  What is the CD listed as one of the Darren Criss items?  Did they record the cast album for the tour?  I didn't think they did that but wasn't sure what other CD would be for sale.  Thanks.

No, not on opening night at least. This is a smart move for the tour. In NYC musicians have subs that can cover regularly or in case of an emergency. Not the case on the road.

Hi, Darren's body is hidden from the neck down in the back (trunk?) of the car while the shelf of wigs hover above him. Yes, he rises for Wicked Little Town Reprise.

1. They do. She's behind the car (trunk-ish) with only her head visible above the roof.
2. He does

The major differences from what I recall of the NPH production:
- Most of the surrounding Hurt Locker set was painted canvas instead of structural pieces.
- It seemed there were more projection and lighting effects
- The car seemed less tricky

At the Belasco, it seemed that they were still trying to keep a run-down feeling to the show and setting. On the tour, they seem less afraid to pull out all that jazz.
