Forgive me if this is somewhere but I truly could not find it: who is her Yitzhak?
Isn't it Shannon Conley?

As others have said --- most of their markets are on subscription. There will be an announcement made after the first week in Los Angeles.

How very reasoned.
has there been any whispers about who's playing Hedwig after Nov. 27?

I think it's going to be Lena as Hedwig and Shannon as Yitzhak. They'll probably cast a Yitzhak standby.
you'd figure they'd announce it by now to sell tickets(advertise).
Has anyone in SF done the rush tickets route to see Hedwig there?

I'm going to do the Today Tix rush for $40 on Sunday, 10/9, to see Lena Hall. All 3 of her shows have plenty of available seats.
I did the same for Beautiful twice. I got orchestra side seats both times for $40 in rows T and U. There was a part in the show where I couldn't see the singers on the 2nd level but it was very, very minor and lasted only a couple of minutes.

When it was on Broadway, I sat in side orchestra once (at the very end of left orch) and there were parts I couldn't see either but they were very very minor. I always found this show to be more like a concert so most of the action will happen center stage. Enjoy!
just lucked out and scored great seats to see the production when it comes to LA next month. saw the original at jane street and stupidly opted out of not seeing the broadway show when i had the chance
also, the pantages is the worst theater I've ever seen a show in - unless one has tix in the first 10 rows or so, you feel liken you're football fields away from the stage

Yeah, I agree about the mid and rear seats in Pantages seeming far.
I saw Wicked in the Mezz for $130 and it was not worth it. I'm never sitting in the mezz again.
I saw If/Then in Row L and it was okay.
Im so happy I scored second row for the last LA show for Hedwig!

Heard Michael yesterday say that both Darren and Lena are done after LA. I'm assuming that Shannon will stay on, but obviously no announcements yet about Hedwig.
I'm planning to do Rush for Lena's performance on Sunday 10/9.

Aw, bummer. I hope the rest of the tour gets a good Hedwig. Lena would have been great.
I'm actually really excited to find out who is taking over because the tour is coming to the State Theater in New Brunswick, NJ in May, and that theater NEVER gets First National Tours of this caliber. (It's usually either a non-equity tour or a local theatre company production)
theoriginoflove said: "What changes were made for Lena? Changes in costume? What about for the finale?
Honestly, pretty much none. She didn't fly in at the beginning (which seems like it's a change made for the tour rather than for her, specifically.) I will say, there were some physical bits she didn't do - climbing the speakers in sugar daddy, for example. It looked like her knee was wrapped - possibly she was suffering from an injury. I couldn't tell until it was pointed out to me after the show.

Is there an interview online where someone (Lena or creatives) discuss casting Lena as Hedwig and how it came to happen? Am curious about how the conversation started and took to make it to the stage.
I am also going to try to see the Sunday evening performance.

Hi, in case you haven't seen this. It's Trask, Criss and Hall on Sept. 29. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YMmbLh1uATc&feature=youtu.be
There are also links on the SHN Facebook page. Enjoy!

I dont know if Lena will stay on or not (i doubt it), but the next tour Hedwig, who is a guy has been cast. He has his native accent which will be perfect for the role and he has a killer voice....and experience playing eccentric characters. i think hedwig is in very capable hands to see the rest of the USA!
