Phillypinto, OMG you are still rambling on about Honeymoon? From 1:54am Thursday till now 11:32PM??? I hope you invest as much time in your acting and studying? It seems that you are glued to this board especially being obsessed with Honeymoon in Vegas and may I ask why? Simply curious as to your relentless ongoings with this thread and others everyday! And yes you have a right to do anything you damn please but come on now!
"Anything you do, let it it come from you--then it will be new."

Philly: I don't actually know why I'm replying to you, but whatever. Of course I'm aware that this is a message board, I do not consider myself friends with anyone on here, and I don't have any desire to meet you all in real life. That said, you spouted some pretty disgusting nonsense that offended me. There's obviously no point in arguing with you, though, as you can't seem to get it through your thick skull that you're not always automatically right.
elfuhbuh, seriously shut the **** up. You are all little ass followers who can't handle it when someone comes on here and rocks the boat every now and again. You should be happy I'm not afraid to speak my mind, and i will never apologize for my thoughts and/or opinions.
And no, i do not think i am always right. As far as this show goes though, well, have you seen a closing notice?
I have been watching this thread ever since it was created as I am also a big fan of the show. Having seen it once at Papermill, once and previews and again on Opening Night (and will likely return for the closing). From the beginning, I thought this show was going to be a huge success. Is it fluff? Yes. But, isn't that what musical comedy is all about - a few hours to escape the winter doldrums, realities of what's wrong in this world, and just laugh and enjoy a so-so story being told through some fantastic music - performed by (likely) Broadway's best orchestra currently? I think this is a classic Broadway show for which many have been clamoring - and I am saddened that it is not doing well. The fact is, there is so much competition these days for everyone's theatre dollars. If people had no idea what the film was or disliked it (I, myself, thought it was not very good), then they simply will not care to spend their money on this. What I have to say, however, is that the creative team really took a blah film and turned it into a very enjoyable musical - a very rare occurrence. I hope Philly is correct - not so that he can gloat, but rather because I think that this show deserves to run. Either way, whether it closes soon or wins a bunch of Tonys and stays open, people need to be kinder to each other by simply stating their opinions and enjoying other peoples' viewpoints on the subject.
He probably just knows who they are from like playbillvault.com but I'm sure the producers don't know him. So I wouldn't be shocked if he says he knows the Weissler's too!
"Is it fluff? Yes. But, isn't that what musical comedy is all about"
You'll not find anyone who will say "all fluff is bad." But there's good fluff and bad fluff, and clearly a lot of people think Honeymoon is bad fluff.
"...enjoy a so-so story being told through some fantastic music - performed by (likely) Broadway's best orchestra currently..."
No, it's a good orchestra, but not Broadway's best; On The Town's orchestra is better, I'd say, and further, I see no good reason to rank the orchestras on Broadway - they're all A-level, top-notch musicians.
"I think this is a classic Broadway show for which many have been clamoring..."
We definitely define the word "classic" differently.
I'm sure Danza and Brown and the rest are glad this sort of dialogue is happening, because, honestly, the show is such a dull mediocrity, "why it's still running" is the only thing anyone has to say about it.
I realize that On The Town is in a much bigger theater, but the consensus is that the weekly nut was about the same for both. If that nut is around $500-600K, On The Town is not "bleeding", not in the range to pay back investors, but not costing investors more.
That is because they are not exactly the same. Phillypinto is a bored college kid that likes to come on here and make sh!t up to see whose feathers he can ruffle. We let him win every time.
