Hamilton Cancellation Line — Page 147

I know! Thank you! I slept in the cancellation line in June and July when it was around 50 people, so this is a nice change lol.

Update: there are 15 people in line. No tickets have been released yet. 43 people have taken a picture of the Quik Park. One person even wanted to be in the photo! 

it's literally just a Vertical Parking Garage, nothing extraordinary, not even a fancy car. We suspect some people hadn't seen one before.  No lottery winners here, one premium ticket offered but no one bit.

Any update on today's line?

I arrived at 6:30 am on Saturday and was 4th in line, the others having arrived at 5:45 and 6:00 am.  The next folks showed up at 7:30. At 10:00 am premium tickets were offered, but only 1 person in line wanted a pair. At 10:15am RRT staff cut off the line at 20 (regardless of how many tickets are wanted) and told the others after 20 to leave and come back at 5:30. I'm not sure what happened to them.

For those concerned about the heat, it is cool in the shade and a nice breeze comes through. If you are the first 20, you will be in the shade. I got more of a sweat waiting in the subway for ten minutes than sitting here for the last 4 hours.

 

*Update*

At least 11 of us got in. There could have been more but I'm not positive. Chris Jackson and Oak were out for the performance. Sydney was Burr.

I got F106, a fantastic seat for an excellent performance.  Burr, Washington, Angelica, and George were my favorites.  I really wanted to like Michael as Hamilton. I wasn't totally convinced with his acting but he grew on me and I enjoyed his voice.

I did!  I thought she did a fine job. I wasn't blown away but not disappointed either. I felt maybe she could have expressed greater emotion with some of the more serious scenes but her voice was nice. 

How's the line been lately? I'm curious to see if there have been more people since Brandon Victor Dixon started as Burr [also since they announced Renee's departure ]

FOUR IN TUE AFTERNOON?  Oh wow!!!!

 

Wednesdays are tricky with the 2 shows. My suggestion would be to go as early in the morning as you can if the matinee is an option (I passed the line last Wednesday at 7am and there were 6 people). If you don't get matinee tickets, don't even bother going until 5:30- the ushers/police won't establish a clear line until then even if people have been waiting all day, it's all about the luck of where you are standing outside the box office when they create the line (they have been known to start it on different sides of the box office from Wednesday to Wednesday (evening). AM line starts along wall to the right of the box office when facing the theatre (with the steps). Good Luck!! :)
