Do you guys think that the cancellation seats, which are largely house seats, are going to be largely nonexistent during the Tony voting period--basically all of May, right? The voters have to see the show and I imagine they're just going to give them house seats, since it's impossible to get anything else now.

If I'm approached to buy tickets and they have the same quantity I'm looking for (2), am I allowed to ask if they're seats or standing room? I know the expectation is that you buy based on a matching quantity, but am curious if I'm allowed to ask that."
Yes, you're allowed to ask, though if it's standing room being offered that usually means that there are no seats left. So if you actually say no to them then you won't see that particular performance. Note: there aren't always standing room tickets offered at every performance.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Managed to luckily get two orchestra seats for a performance yesterday. Cancellation line was a fun time. Thanks for making the time fly by!
Pac2015 how long did you wait? I'm going to be in NYC for about a day and a half and was trying to figure out if I should try and wait in the line, take a chance with the lottery, or buy a super inflated prices ticket to have a sure thing. Let me know!

Hello! I waited close to 22.5 hours. Worth it for what I was able to experience. I got my 2 house tickets (center row G) 13 minutes before evening curtain and had a wonderful time. We sat next to Alex Lacamoire and Jim Carrey was 4 rows in front of us. Shook Alex's hand during intermission and gave praise for the music, didn't interact with Jim Carrey, but he looked quite cool with taking pictures with people who happened to be in front and behind him. It was a nice touch and it seemed like people weren't badgering him either. Cool crowd; everyone obviously there for the performance.
OMG! 22.5 hours! Glad you got tickets! didn't get any when I waited 17 hours on March 11. I ended up buying the cheapest resale I could find which was for May 11. Then last weekend I read Johnathan Groff was leaving and lost my mind! and bought another set of resale tickets which dropped in price an hour and a half before Monday night's performance just to see him. I put the May 11 tickets back up for resale. Now they are going for $200 more than what I paid =O and I hope they sell. I wish I could go again! But can't afford it =( Anyway, my line wait experience was so much fun! Everyone so nice and all hopeful in getting tickets. It's what truly makes the wait bearable.
The show was simply astonishing! I've never been so thrilled to see a show before! And I believe everyone in the audience felt the same. The applause after every number so electric! Curtis Jackson & Okieriete Onaodowan were both on vacation and had excellent alternates for their roles. I was thrilled to have the 3 Schuyler sisters! Lin, Leslie, Daveed & Anthony. "The King" received such long applauses when he emerged, so funny to see this live! I've been enjoying the soundtrack for nearly 2 months which is where my "Hamil-itis" started from. I truly enjoyed it.
B. Ben said: "So the guys at SOLD told me today that the rules have changed and whoever initially shows up in the line has to be the one to purchase the tickets. Also they are recommending 24 hours ahead! Is this true? Or is it just for line holders? I initially was going to have them start and relieve them by 9 or 10. If however that is my only option would anyone want to throw in with me as I only need one ticket and I'm driving in from Delaware. It would be for one of the Monday shows since I don't work those days! New to this site and a lot of the rush/lottery/inside scoops.
Hey B. Ben,
SOLD and other line holders also told me that the wait is now 24 hours. I also only need 1 ticket and looking for someone to partner up with to split line waiting time. I live in NJ Let me know if you want to work something out spiltting up the wait time.
Also if anybody wanting 1 ticket looking for someone to splitting the line time, let me know, my days is flexible for the most part. Next weekend the weather will be in the 50's/60's.

Edit: Maybe my post was written poorly, I'm intersted in waiting in line myself not instead of paying SOLD $485(24hrs) +($385 per ticket). It's not guarantee that SOLD would get a ticket for that potential risk, I rather buy from stubhub for similar cost. So I'm looking for partner stand in line with me, maybe (12hr each person) for bathroom breaks, food, naps etc. "
I am planning to do SOLD for tomorrow night's show. I only need 1 ticket so I am looking for someone to share the cost. They told me it will cost 839USD total for ticket of 2. (if paid over Paypal 865USD). Even if they don't get the ticket, we will still owe them 485USD for waiting. Please PM me if you are interested in doing this. I am leaving NYC on Weds day afternoon so this is the only time it will work for me. Had no luck on lottery since I got here on Wednesday and stubhub and ticketmaster tickets are just too ridiculous price for the seating area. I would rather throw my money at the line-waiting for at least a possibility of getting a house ticket though arguably I could get any seat. SOLD people will start waiting at 7pm tonight so if you have made your mind and decided to do this please give me a shot. Best of luck to everyone waiting for this show.
That's bc you're covering his transaction fee, you could ask if you can send via friends/family so he doesn't have the fee. Or just use the other payment options if he can't do friends option.
yeah don't worry that's the same number on their website.
change of schedule, need to leave NYC tomorrow early morning. This really sucks. I am going to the theater right now if I couldn't find anything I might do any stubhub ticket or scalper. the theater told me there's no way to verify stubhub ticket is real or not. any comments and suggestions for either stubhub or scalper?
I got my Ham tix on Stubhub and they were legit. Stubhub will refund your money if the tickets turn out to be bogus, so the most you’re risking with them is disappointment.

"
Exactly.
One problem with stubhub is sometimes only sells in pairs--when I started message the cheapest ticket was single but looks like someone grabbed that one.
With only one evening for you to try, don't think I would risk waiting til last minute to see if prices go down.
At the theater. About 20 people in front me. I don't think there's a chance if I ended up buying from scalper, do you guys know how to tell if it is genuine?
