Thanks for the updates! Do you have any idea whether they'll be enforcing rules 1/5 (no swapping/person who buys the ticket must see the show)? Because if that's the case now, I don't understand how the line sitters will work. If they are not allowed to have their client swap and take their place in line, that means the line sitter would have to buy the tickets, which means they must use at least one of them.

Ok could someone PLEASE answer this question lol-do they let you know WHERE the premium seats are located before you buy them or do you only find out while you are purchasing them?

You find out when you purchase them, it's a mystery until you get to the box office.

Also I have no idea what the state of the no swapping/holding rule is, but the line sitters are being let stay, for now. The only thing I know for sure is that they CANNOT buy tickets for their patron. If the patron is late, they're skipped over and the next person gets the tickets.

Thanks for the updates Ehlbee.

In regards to the linesitters, I wonder how this will play out.

Thanks for answering guys! Some mezzanine seats are premium right? I just wouldn't want to pay that much for premium and be that far away from the stage.

I don't know about the mezz seats but I was surprised at how many seats yesterday were listed at $549. I thought these were only the first few rows (like, 3 or 4 rows) of the orchestra. Did they increase pricing because of demand and how well the show has been received? I even thought my $349 "Preferred" seats were supposed to be the $177 price, but I said screw it and went ahead and bought them anyway!

If they offered mezz row A as a premium, I'd take it!  When I went back in April and sat in rear mezz row A, after the show, I walked down to that row and sat in a seat.  The empty stage looked so close and amazing!  Could only imagine with lighting and cast!   It overhangs row J orchestra so you're 10 rows away and elevated!  What a view!  Steins sat there on his first run.  He shared the pic from his IG

I noticed that yesterday, too.  When I went to check, many rows in center orch were $549 as far as row M.  The sides were $329 as preferred.

Under the mezz overhang were a few $199 I spotted.

And the rear mezz row F seat I sat in on Monday were $139 and not $87 anymore.

Dear Lord!

#1 Patrons may not swap out or hold places on the line

So no more line sitters? Also how you can get a relief from your friend when you want two tickets (for you and your friend)?

The line sitters should be eliminated by the last rule, which says you buy the tickets immediately before the show. That is, if they enforce it. As to your question, it seems like they don't want anyone to be there long enough to NEED relief.

I just saw that tweet. According to EhlbeeSOLD is there. So, let's see if the new rules will be enforced tonight.

LOL!  Well my first thought was "you don't know about the 1000+ posts on Broadway World?" It comes up in a simple Hamilton Tickets google search...the horror.

You can't expect these to go into effect IMMEDIATELY, y'all.

Also nervously waiting to see how this plays out...

I do understand why they had to implement these rules since it was getting a little out of hand, but I mostly feel for the people who shelled out the $$$$ to hire linesitters for tonight if they're in fact going to be denied tickets. Would be terrible luck, and I know I would personally be crushed if this happened on the day I hired line sitters!

Terrible luck, but also, the theatre has the right to change the rules, especially because they haven't been saying "Pay a line sitter to wait for you for Hamilton tix"

If they were going to kick tonight's line sitters off the line wouldn't they have done so back at 10am, when the box office opened and they started enforcing these new rules?

I think the question is what's going to happen from tomorrow on, now that these rules are posted, being put up on social media, etc.

I'm super nervous about this. I have plans to try the cancellation line for the matinee next Wednesday. I paid a sitter to wait overnight for me and I would be swapping out with her at 6am. Do you guys think this would be okay?

Why are you asking here instead of tweeting Hamilton? Unless you did, I suppose.

The first rule says that patrons may not swap out a place in line. But who knows how they'll enforce this. Maybe the person behind you will narc on you.

You'll probably be able to "swap out" prior to the box office opening (either at 10 am or 12 pm depending on the day of the week).
