Based on one positive? Jumping the gun a bit there, aren't we?"
Incubation is 2-10 days. And anyone who tests should wait at least 3 days, because results would be more likely to be inaccurate. He didn't get this at the Tonys."
Obviously, no one is saying he got it yesterday, but he was definitely contagious yesterday, which is kind of the point.
Dang, I would totally go see it this week if I were in the city. Wishing Hugh all the best and a quick recovery.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
I noticed his wife wasn't next to him last night which seems a bit unusual. I wonder if she may have been ill?
In any event, I wish him a speedy recovery. It will be interesting to see if it spreads within the company. Max posted a video from a party last night that showed Sutton and other company members but I didn't see Hugh.
If I had tickets for this week, I would refund them and then grab seats on TKTS...
I feel bad for the many who have probably purchased tickets specifically for Hugh. I hope Max Clayton is great but that's still a bummer if he was the main draw for buying a ticket.
Let's just hope this doesn't cause a chain reaction where multiple cast members also test positive.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Hugh's wife is actually in Australia filming a movie.
For my wife’s birthday, I bought tickets yesterday for Wednesday’s matinee through TickPick (similar site to StubHub). Does anyone know if the theatre would exchange the tickets for comparable tickets on another date when Hugh Jackman is back (or not given I wasn’t the original purchaser of the ticket)?

They will only exchange or deal with tickets purchased thru their box office or Tele-Charge. They share the same database so info is looked up by the credit card used to purchase the original tickets. You need to contact TickPick as that’s where you purchased your resold tickets. They might have a way of giving you an exchange.
Well - I guess that explains why he looked so terrible Sunday night. I saw The Music Man Friday night and we had close seats and he looked WAY better than he looked Sunday night. I hope he has a speedy recovery but I’m thankful that we got to see him before this happened. Good luck to Max - hopefully Sutton doesn’t catch it again as well.
This is why the “testing” requirement for the Tony’s orchestra seats was utter nonsense. There were plenty of contagious people there who tested negative. That decision was all about money and visibility and class. The peons still had to be masked.
Also this is the second time in less than a year Hugh has had it. So many people are getting Covid multiple times in relatively short period of time. This is a strange disease for sure. People don’t get flu multiple times in a year unless they are truly compromised.
What a strange disease we still know so little about. No wonder poor Hugh looked rode hard and put away wet last night. Feel better Hugh and have an amazing run Max!

I am also in the boat of booked tickets 2.5 years ago with a group of friends specifically to see Hugh. I am sure Max is incredible but I would not pay what I paid to see Not-Hugh in a Music Man revival, and there are many other shows I would now rather see in my limited show slots on this trip.
The thing is we booked with Broadway Inbound (Telecharge's group ticket org) as a group of 10. Does anyone know if we can break those tickets up if some still want to go and some want to get a refund? Or do we need to decide as a whole group? Our tickets are held at will call for Thursday's show.

You will need to speak with the group sales/Inbound rep. My assumption is you will have to refund the full order and re-buy selected tickets if some people in your party still want to attend, since you are the group minimum. But they may have some other contingency in place.

Please remember that Hugh had an early call on Sunday for the Tony's dress rehearsal, he played a matinee of MM and then headed to the awards ceremony. It was understandable if he looked a bit drawn on Sunday night.
Hugh is also 53, has had some run-ins with skin cancer, he is thin as a rail from all his dancing, and when we see a lot of Hollywood stars in films, there's a certain amount of digital "touchups" that occur on complexions. That's what HJ looks like these days.
I assume he's fantastic! I love that he is able to go on while riding the wave of understudy/swing accolades. What a cool moment for him and his partner, one winning a Tony, and one going on for one of Broadway's biggest stars at the moment alongside Sutton Foster. I hope nothing but continued success!

Curious if Max has gone on yet for the two other roles he covers?
