That's so odd, considering I received an email from Sh-K-Boom the other day that said the digital version was being released today.

You can hear a sample clip of 'The Bells of Notre Dame' at the Amazon digital album page, and can seemingly buy that single track:

(Edit: Oops, I now realise the iTunes equivalent of this has already been mentioned above. Would anybody mind posting the direct iTunes link to this album BTW? It's not coming up for me for some reason.)

Listening to this just makes me die more that this never made it to Broadway.
Side Note: What a generous track listing, they surprisingly went all out for this

They went so full-out they filled all but 20 seconds of available space on the CD...

It's not random. The press release stated that additional songs would become available. Three I believe.

Yup! They're pre releasing three more songs before the cd comes out! So since they released top of the world another two should come out before the 22nd.

Glad to see this is happening. I really enjoyed this musical a great deal when I saw it at La Jolla. It will be nice to have it forever preserved on a recording.
When I first saw the movie back in the 90s I couldn't help but envision it as a Broadway musical. The music was just so grand.
Seeing it at La Jolla it took on a different dimension than the grand scale, flashy musical I was expecting. But I liked it. It was quite moving in many ways and I actually liked the smaller scale approach it took. The first time I saw it I enjoyed it, but when I went back a couple of weeks later with a friend of mine from Disney who wanted to see it, it really came to appreciate its approach as well.
And the performances were outstanding.
Not everyone's cup of tea in the way it was presented, I know, but I'm glad I got to see it.
And to now have a recording of the show is great.
