If you could choose a CELEBRITY to play Belle in BATB who would you choose...now they have to be able to sing and act as well.
My choose: Janet Jackson...she could probably play the role well in my opinion.
Brittany Murphy.
Yeah I could see Brittany Murphy as well.

Paris Hilton. She's got that innocent, country girl image going for her.

Anne Hathaway
I second Anne Hathaway
Annalise Van Der Pol. I hear she did musicals before Raven and was the youngest pro-Evita ever. She has a great voice.

yeah, I'm sure Disney would love to have Anne Hathaway play Belle after the release of her new movie "Havoc" in which she explicitly bares it all.

trpguyy---true, but i believe that New Line cinemas is sending it straight to DVD, so you never know, and everyone under 10 knows her from ella enchanted and pd 1&2
Harvey Fierstein.
In all seriousness, Mandy Moore.
mandy moore ,jessica simpson or christina milian.
I actually think Mandy Moore or Anne Hathaway would do a great job with the role.
Good God I thought you were serious in the beginning there....
Jennifer Garner
I'm with Anneliese from "Raven..." Sadly, I STILL have a lovefor Disney shows at age 19. I think Anneliese is adorable, and on an episode the other night, the kids were singing, and she has a FABULOUS VOICE!!
I third Anneliese. I enjoy her voice, and she's a GREAT actress. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a Disney series before. I don't know what's she's still doing inside a TV studio, but she's gotta skedaddle over to Broadway.

Christina Applegate could run Beauty & the Beast into the ground if that's what Disney wanted...

I have to second the Janet Jackson! I could TOTALLY see her doing it. Although, I dont know if she could pull off "Is This Home", one of my FAV. songs from the show.
Now let the Super Bowl jokes begin...
On a previous post I thought Jennifer Love Hewitt would make a great "Belle." Food for thought...
Audra McDonald.
Not joking.
