keeping in mind i am a total cheater the wedding singer: standby for robbie hart and glen gulia -or- rent: male swing (u/s mark, roger, benny, collins) ave q: male swing (u/s brian, nickie/trekkie, princeton/rod) wicked: swing (u/s fiyero, dillamond, wizard, and morrible*)
*with the bulk of that costume and the makeup, i think a male could play it, and give the most terrifying "wiiiiiiiicked witch!" speech this side of alma cuervo
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
I'm a girl, but I would love to play either Freddy in DRS or Jamie in The Last 5 Years. I would also want to play Mark's role in RENT just because I always love the narrator in a play or musical for some odd reason. Just intrigues me. I just love those roles.
I would either play Elphaba in Wicked or Amneris in AIDA.
Hands down, no question, Cathy in "The Last 5 Years." Absolutely adore that role. Of course, if cast, I would have to get my ass down to the stage door at DRS and beg (on my knees) Norbert to be my Jamie.
I'd want Mark in RENT, Judas in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, The Wizard in WICKED, Jean Valjean in LES MISERABLES, or The Phantom in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA! Updated On: 6/15/06 at 10:12 AM
This is easy enough. I'd choose Eponine for multiple for reasons. For one thing, it's one of my dream roles to begin with, for several reasons. My Broadway/London idol, Frances Ruffelle, played this role, and I want to follow in her footsteps. Also, I adore her character in the book, 'cause in the book she has to endure much more than an unrequited crush on Marius, and I admire her for that.
For another thing, if I pulled it off it would lead to the teenage masses wanting more from me. That way, I wouldn't have to play more than one role on Broadway. To cement my fame, I would then play Elphaba in Wicked when I came of age even though "Wicked", although it's fun enough to sing in the car, is just an average musical. Then, I would be free to do as I pleased, including playing Mrs. Lovett in (another) revival of "Sweeney Todd". It's a sure-fire way to success, don'tcha think?
You insult me, I ignore you. That's how the system works around here.

my number one choice i think i would go with Jo in little women her character is totally similiar to me, and my vocal quality is quite similiar to sutton foster. but i would love to play mimi-rent or elphaba-wicked just because i think mimi's charcter is quite exciting and riskay..and elphaba's range is so impressive i mean hitting a high e-flat belt in defying gravity to a low e in not that girl..who wouldnt want to play elphaba? lol seriously though, gimmie the female lead in about any b-way musical and that's the role i'd play ha, ha
...Christopher Columbus I'll be *ASTONISHING*.. at LAST!!
Currently on Broadway: Clara in LITP (yeah, right) OR Julia in The Wedding Singer(that one sounds more reasonable)
Ever: Cinderella in Cinderella or Into the Woods

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...
