Seems like Caroline had a very short contract, no?

I would be shocked to learn she was hired on six month contract.
I hope she’s moving in to something even better. I thought she was such a talent in this show.
I wonder why Caroline did not extend if in fact her contract was up.
The nature of her statement makes it sound like she has another gig lined up and perhaps she had an out for whatever that is (or generous producers willing to let her out of her contract). Another lead role on Bway, a film/TV project, etc. It also indicates that the show plans to try to fight it out through end of year (or at least that’s the current plan).

Queue 18 people on this board to speculate that she's actually the new Sally Bowles :O
I liked her in this show.
Shucked has grown on me a bit since the album release.
I feel like we got to see McCalla’s vulnerable side when she was Alyssa in The Prom. Just thinking about her singing “Maybe Love” breaks my heart already.

Very happy for Isabelle. I just saw her in Water for Elephants and she was incredible.

I know most contracts have outs for film/tv with some caveats but with the strikes it must be another show.

She’ll probably be back in nine months!

That was one deletion that gave away the game. It’s nice to hear a happy rumor.

Caroline plays her final performance with the Broadway company of Shucked today - and she has just confirmed that she is pregnant with a baby boy, due in January!

Apparently, Izzy went on TONIGHT as Maizy (two nights early) for the first time… did anyone here go?

Just by coincidence, I was there last night. I had not seen the play before so don’t have a basis for comparison. I did not expect her to be on and was thrilled when I triple-checked the Playbill pre show.
McCalla was in excellent voice, played her comedic bits very well, and overall did a terrific job. I only saw a couple of (irrelevant) glitches that I’m sure will be ironed out by tonight.
A wonderful performance. It was just a fluke that I was there, but I’m counting it as a gift from the theater gods to balance out times I’ve seen disappointing covers.
There is one picture of her backstage holding her tummy, which looked like a little baby bump to me.
