Does anyone know how long Jonathan Groff will headline “Just in Time”? Tickets are on sale through January…I assume he’ll be in it through then (at least)?
Nothing’s been announced, so nobody knows for sure. Although this is technically the Bobby Darin show, it’s the Jonathan Groff show, and I don’t know who could do it like he’s doing it. He sings, dances, acts, plays multiple instruments and SELLS TICKETS. I assume it’ll close once he’s done, but I guess we shall see.
It's very, very hard to imagine the show continuing when Groff decides to leave. But I would guess it will run for as long as Groff wants to do the role.

For those that have seen the show: I'm looking to purchase a couple of the least expensive seats, which would be last row or next-to-last row. Would you advise the sides (200 series seats) or the end (100 series seats)?
The 100s are technically center for this show - saw it a few days ago and they were great seats. Honestly I would get whatever is cheapest - it’s a tiny theatre.

I was in the back row of the 100 seats towards the center and it was a great view. The actors have their backs to you occasionally on the small stage but I think that happens anywhere at points during the show. It's well worth the cheaper price IMO.

I was last row house left and it was a pretty good view. Groff comes up that way often and you don’t miss much.
Has Gracie Lawrence’s final perf been announced yet? She’s got a big tour this fall starting Sept 5 (including dates in Europe), so she must be leaving by end of August if not sooner.
Gabi Carrubba posted a picture of herself joining the company (and singing a Connie song as a child) but her arm is very strategically placed over the name of the role on her binder in all the pics.
The bulk of the Lawrence tour dates are in October and November. I wonder if Gracie Lawrence will leave the show temporarily and return for the final weeks in December and January.

Thanks to all who replied to my question about sections 100 vs 200 seating for JIT. Turned out that seat choices in the last couple of rows were rather limited on our available days. We ended up grabbing a couple of aisle seats (Row G 202 & 204) that are the first two seats in the last row of the even-numbered 200 section, across the aisle from the even-numbered 100 section. Looking forward to it, greatly appreciate all the help!
Is it crazy that those "cheap" seats are $159 & $179 on weekends? There was only one left on a date I was looking at & just bit the bullet.
We also just bit the bullet! There were 3 left for an August Sat. evening show at $159, but they weren't next to eachother. My husband and I will just sit separately and enjoy the money savings. He opted for the row K in the 100s and I went with G alllllllll the way at the end of the seating closest to stage.

Only saving grace…the cheap seats are a lot closer to the performers than they are in most theatres. Back in the days when orchestra seats pretty much had one price, the last row cost the same as the first row and people didn’t much care because the performing are was so close. I went for the cheapest seats for thee performance we are attending in October. It was almost like every row had a different price, and to me, Row H was a good deal compared to even a few rows closer.

Not just weekends. I paid $159 for my "cheapest" seats on a Tuesday night. And one row down was $199, not even $179. But we both bit the bullet, didn't we? :-)

Gracie has said in the Lawrence Patreon that through end of September, if Lawrence isn't playing a show, she'll be there.

Supply and demand.
Back in its first few weeks of previews, last row was pricing at $99 and you can do the rush line and get a seat in row A or B for rush price. Obviously that won't happen nowadays that this show is selling. I think SRO is the best deal though since you can see the actors facial expressions (meaning you're close enough) and dance to the music at the same time without bothering anyone behind you.
Yup, there's rush if you want to do it. I'll pay $179 & leave rushing for others. My time in NYC is too limited & precious to stand in a frigging line. I don't even want to stand in line for too long to get into the Met Museum if it's too busy.
If there's one show in town that's worth premium prices, it's this one.

My sentiments exactly. I have basically 48 hours to see 2-3 shows, meet up with some friends, and maybe squeeze in a museum. Standing on a rush line (and I'm sure it will be several hours of standing, not just strolling up to the box office around 1030 to ask for a couple of tickets) just does not fit into my itinerary. Then factor in the uncertainty of even getting tickets for the show that is our primary reason for coming to NY, and I would just rather bite the bullet and pay for a couple of the "cheaper" seats at face value. But good luck to all who have the time (and stamina) to do it, I hope you all are successful!
