I was hearing the fire escape, another outdoor gimmick a la SUNSET BOULEVARD. No seat reconfiguration necessary, just live video.
Apparently they also sacked Banderas once Zegler was cast, so Peron will also read younger.

That makes more sense. I assumed they meant the "balcony" as in the top level of seats not an outdoor balcony.
Too bad about Banderas. I think he could bring in an audience.

And apparently encouraging bystanders to watch and cheer. So essentially, a scenario infinitely more difficult to manage than Sunset. I’d also pay all the money to see Jamie Lloyd pull this off.
I have heard they are specifically seeking trans and nonbinary performers for this production.

The entire show is staged on STEPS!!!!!!!
I mean, its literally based on Beyonce's Coachella performance...

A friend in the know has also confirmed Rachel to me as having wowed the team.
So you’re (wrongly) trying to tell me that this production that is going to play the London Palladium will somehow play at the Kerr. I beg the uninformed of this board to please be for real for one second.
But every show in London is transferring to Broadway, right?

Well, Cate Blanchette's Seagull probably shouldn't, but Jamie Lloyd's Much Ado MOST DEFINITELY SHOULD!!!!

The target audience, which is also against each and every traditional value in life will accept this.
Meanwhile, according to Hollywood Reporter Disney can't wait to be done with Zegler. Really surprised they haven't pulled a Warner Brother, just shelved the picture, and taken the tax break.

Zzzzzz. I was kinda hoping this was a rumor that wouldn't pan out.
I thought she was terrific in WSS, but since then? I have't been impressed with anything. I thought her performance in R+J was very high school level, tbh.
I also don't think she said anything wrong about Snow White - "they" chose to update it, I doubt her opinions had anything to do with that. It's this f'ing country's issue, not hers. (I don't have opinons on any of her other troublesome comments, as I don't pay much attention to what stars think.

One does not simply shelve a film and get a tax break.
WB had a unique situation called a Reverse Morris Trust at the time that it shelved Batgirl (due to the recent merge/acquisition with Discovery).

And, sometimes, bad films still make money.
I don’t get the Zegler hate from people (not necessarily on this board - just in general). I find her to be incredibly talented with one of the most beautiful voices out there right now.
Although whoever designed her God-awful wig she is wearing in “Snow White” should be banned from ever working again…
I, for one, think she’s perfect for the role. I hope this transfers across the pond.
I don’t know why Zegler of all people has become a cultural lightning rod. It’s not like she’s the only light-skinned Latina actress with leftist politics and Theatre Kid energy. She’s super talented and has the potential for a great career. I just wish she’d be in better projects! (Even tho some of these have seemed like good ideas on paper)
Maybe Romeo & Juliet + Evita will be something of a course correction.
The Rachel Zegler hate is so forced and also such a painfully online thing. The primary reason this movie will tank is Gal Gadot - truly one of the worst actresses working today.
Don’t quite understand the hate for her, either.
Snow White does look awful, but I can’t say it looks awful because of her. It looks awful in the way all these live action remakes look awful.
The hate is bizarre. Utterly bizarre.
Romeo + Juliet, regardless of quality, was a hit for her. Snow White is looking to be an utter disaster. I think this is a very smart move from her coming on the heels of that.

I think her attitude, character and the things she has said publicly are utterly bizarre. The fact that she gets a role like this after that is utterly bizarre too.
Evita is all about an aspirational woman who gains sudden success, pisses people off and gets knocked off a pedestal. Seems like good casting even for the haters.

This is not about cute similarities.
It's all fun until she completely trashes Andrew Lloyd Webber, calls Eva Peron a weird b*tch and says the most terrible things about her co-stars in the production.
This is about her attitude, character, disrespect and complete lack of self-control in the media.
Yeah, god forbid she says something negative about Eva Peron.

Don't worry, she will. "Goodnight and thank you" will need to be cut. That scene does not go down well with Zegler. Who did the little sl*t Eva Peron think she was?

Let's just cut to the chase: you are a right winger and Zegler is the focus of an online hate campaign from the Right because she's playing a White character despite having Colombian roots. I think it was dopey of Zegler to say anything negative about the Snow White project, but she hasn't called anyone a b*tch. You are overreacting about a lovely, talented woman who at the very least will sing this better than the last revival's star.
