Saw the show last night via a Standing Room ticket that I got 1 hour before curtain.  JJ was fantastic!  This was my 3rd time seeing it - loved it.  Saw JJ in concert 2 weeks ago in Los Angeles.  In regards to a previous post, last night I didn't see anyone with a look on their face of "let's go."  And, if that's the case.......they are free to leave.

It's interesting how opinions differ. One poster actually saw the show three times, and another poster watched a vid of the audience, and decided the show isn't good. I know which opinion I value more.

I saw the show on Saturday evening and loved what Jeremy brought to the role.

I had seen the show previously with Groff who was also incredible but there was something about what Jeremy brought to the show and the "role" of Bobby that felt authentic to who we are shown he is in the context of the show.

At the top of the show, Jeremy shares in his opening monologue that growing up he was incredibly shy and would walk around looking down at the ground rather than looking up at people. It wasn’t until he found the stage that he came out of his shyness and found his inner confidence. To me - that felt so on brand for who we are told Bobby Darin is within the confines of the show.

Another thing Jeremy did was he was able to change up his vocal style to fit when he was singing as himself and when he was singing as Bobby. He was incredibly charming and never once did I feel like I wasn’t getting the full experience of the show via his performance. It’s different than what Groff brought to it, but I don’t think it’s fair to expect a carbon copy of Groff from every single person who steps into Bobby’s shoes.

Jeremy and Isa had wonderful chemistry and my god, what a voice she has. She sang the heck out of Who's Sorry Now and I’m so glad they released it as a single so I can listen to it again and again.

Carrie St. Louis - whom I adore - is the perfect Sandra Dee. She and Jeremy also have wonderful chemistry and do a great job of showing that despite how messy their marriage was - they still cared about one another long after.

Tari Kelly was on for Nina and I liked her a lot more than Emily Bergl personally. Debbie Graviette was really lovely as Polly and did such a wonderful job with that material and connecting with Bobby.

The audience was completely enthralled and into every moment of the show and it looked packed. I feel like if they can keep bringing in charming performers to fill Bobby’s shoes and fabulous women to fill Connie and Sandra’s shoes this show will continue to be splishing and splashing.

A four-song EP has been released on streaming services, capturing the performances of Jordan and Briones.

Saw all 3 of them. But with MM I got such a bad seat (free), so it might affect some rating in my heart, which is not MM's fault.

Between all 3, sorry to say, but I love Jeremy the most. Which is bizarre.

I already know all the stores and know what to expect and what is going to happen. So it should be the most boring / uninteresting one to me. But it's completely the opposite.

His take brings something I don't even see the other 2 do. When he's the 'Jeremy' on stage, you can clearly tell it's not Bobby. But when he betrays Bobby, you can feel this rush of the person who knows he's going to die and does things that make no sense to others. I got a friend who got cancer stage 4, and I remember toward the end of her life she did things I couldn't understand, but she said, "Oh, I need to do this, or I won't have time."

The surprising thing is I don't even feel this when the other 2 were the leads. I didn't even think about this until I saw JJ the other day and was perplexed why it felt a bit different, and I couldn't quite put my finger on why until a few days later when I remembered my friend and those feelings I have toward her. It's almost the same here.

He also uses 2 voices; when he's JJ and when he's Bobby, they are not the same, if anyone can tell.

And I have no idea what all the talk is about; he can't dance. Or he's being awkward. It buffers me to no end, and I almost think I have you watch a different show. Sure, he can't dance like the other 2 leads did, but it's way better than the average actor can do. I would dare even say he got such a move that I feel surprised.

This might be the fault of all the negative reviews on here. They might make my expectations so low that when I see the real thing, it goes way beyond my expectations. But again, I can't even disagree with some of the comments on this thread more. It seems like we watch a different show.

Thank god, I don't listen to some of the comments here and bought the ticket. I will curse myself to no end if I have missed this.
