Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan

That's all kinds of terrible casting. Rumors are Mark Ballas will be the next Bobby.
"

I remember seeing a video of Jeremy dancing with him when he came to see the show.

I thought Levitt was bad, but this is terrible casting.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Can either of these woman sing? And I mean something beyond just capably singing. Francis is known for her pristine tones and beautiful voice.

They may sell tickets but this is embarrassing.

Playbill.com:
"Ariana Madix—known for her appearances on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules and as a finalist on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars—will return to the Broadway stage in Just in Time beginning September 12 at the Circle in the Square Theatre."

Who wouldn't want to star as Bobby against someone with this masterful pedigree [sarcasm]?

really bizarre to watch this show stunt cast with Bravo/Reality stars....

Doesn’t really matter at this point. Both have proven they are box office draws on their past Broadway engagements which is basically what the producers want/need to keep this show running.

Re: Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan

Tickets were only being sold through mid-October until around the time Levitt was announced. Playbill Vault says Jordan started in April, so October would be around six months later. I'm assuming either Jordan has renewed his contract or they have someone else set to replace him they think will sell tickets.

As far as the Ballas rumors- he hasn't announced one way or the other if he's doing Dancing wit the Stars this year- if he is going to take over for Jordan, they may be waiting for the DWTS cast and pros to be announced (without him being included) before Just in Time announces his casting.

Kind of crazy how quickly this lost any artistic integrity. I get that it’s business but dang.

Re: Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan

Mark Ballas, like Derek and Julianne Hough, no longer does pro dancer duties on any of the DANCING WITH THE STARS franchises so unless a vacancy opens up on the judges table, his only involvement with this season will be as a guest judge. He can currently be seen as a judge on the pre-filmed DANCING WITH THE STARS: The Next Pro.

FYI Mark Ballas is returning to DWTS as a pro this coming season, paired with Maura from Traitors.

Decided to use JIT's current discount code and book a ticker for Saturday afternoon, it'll be my first time seeing the show. I love me some Jeremy, and looking at the recent casting, I'm glad I'm going now, before all these "stars" - heavy on the quotation marks - join the show.

All-in-all can't see this lasting past Labor Day without Groff. The material was so in his bones, anyone who fills the shoes after isn't going to match that. The show was conceived FOR him.
"

Saw the show this (Labor Day) weekend and Jeremy was in fine shape. Comparing all the footage I've seen of Groff, I get it, he's just in a league of his own. Not surprising, considering the show was built around his unique charms.

Jeremy, some months in the role is, in a word, fantastic. He molds his ruggish, scrappy charms and rich, soulful voice around Bobby and to me, feels like it's probably more accurate to the real Bobby who grew up as someone gruff from pounding the pavement, proving his worth. Sure Jeremy's not the best mover, he admits as such, but that's not why we're there. We're there to watch him sing and act, and he more than impresses. And he's ably backed up by a great supporting cast, from Olivia Holt and Carrie St. Louis, and most especially Debbie Gravitte as his mom.

The house was packed, and still running like gangbusters. I'm still not sure it'll go off the rails with the upcoming reality show stars - these are pretty challenging roles - but for now, it's well worth seeing.

I’d say if you only saw his first bow, I get it, but he really has grown into this role that’s very different for him, and I’d say he’s better now by leaps and bounds.

Re: Just In Time 3.0 - Jeremy Jordan

I also caught this over the weekend. It was my first time seeing the show (I somehow completely missed it with Groff). It was one of those shows I kept meaning to get around to, but just never did.

I am so glad I finally saw it. I thought Jeremy Jordan and the show itself were both terrific. It’s wildly entertaining from beginning to end, and as someone who knew very little about Bobby Darin going in, I feel like I learned a lot about him and his life along the way. I also loved the design and the transformation of the Circle in the Square Theatre. It really adds to the experience.

Olivia Holt and Carrie St. Louis were also great as Connie Francis and Sandra Dee.

I’m thinking about taking my parents to see this next month when they’re in town for a visit. Just a really great time at the theatre!

Just curious. Has anybody sat at one of the tables on the floor? Wonder what it is like when Jordan/Groff sat at your table.
