The producers on MHE aren't the theater owners."
Well this comment aged well 😂😂😂
Why the fuxk does anyone care so much about what goes where, and then speak with authority on a subject you searingly know nothing about? Unless you’re a producer, it really shouldn’t matter to you.
And if you’re a producer commenting on this board…you need help 🤒

Does anyone know when the box office open? Can't find this info on the show website or on Broadway direct. Thanks

They were eyeing the Belasco. It doesn't matter to me. Friends in the know. I'm not a producer. And no need to insult.

Do we know if Alec Baldwin’s character (Blake) has been cast for this production? Doesn’t appear so.
Was able to answer my own question. For those curious, Blake will not be in this production. Understand that he was added for the movie, but that character is a true highlight. Too bad.

This cast is AMAZING! Cannot wait to (hopefully) see it! Does anyone have any info on discounts or a possible rush/lottery?
Thank you.

Patrick Marber and David Mamet initially offered the role of Moss to Nathan Lane, but he had a pilot that went to series (presumably the Linda Lavin show) and suggested Bill Burr

That character has never been part of the stage play and Mamet has never officially revised the script to include him.

Very clearly not what he says. He was going to play a different role in the show, insisted it had to be an all star cast that also included Bill Burr. Lane subsequently had to drop out.
Ticket prices for this seem to have skyrocketed this week. I was looking at a ticket for $152 in the orchestra last week and this week that same ticket is $319. The cheapest ticket to the show is now $162.

I sincerely hope K. Culkin's sick loved one is okay. but this guy sure seems like a DIVA.
He missed the big awards (critics choice, WGA) in LA last weekend due to rehearsals for GGR. ok fine. Committed but he has a real chance for an Oscar and his Director/Screenwriter Eisenberg would have loved his support. That stage looked empty without anyone else there.
Now he misses BAFTA because of a sick family member. I'm sorry sweetie, but the show must go on. Get on the plane. London is 5 hours away and I'm sure Fox Searchlight offered up a private jet. Get on the plane. if not Delta One has a nice service JFK-LHR.
I would see this play in previews. otherwise my guess is Culkin is out. A LOT.

Jesus. So the guy would rather honor his commitment to work than go to some meaningless award show. and then has a family member sick enough to cause him to need to cancel other commitments and you’re giving him **** and calling him “sweetie” in a condescending tone? Get over yourself.

Yeah, way too rich for my blood. And I think the Palace is way too big to see much in the upper seats. Will have to pass on this unless prices come back down to earth.

Extended through June 14.

Award shows aren't work. Actors regularly skip them due to other commitments. Rehearsing is work and he showed up.

Yeah, a man who prioritizes his family and wants to be present for them, since he knows award shows mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. What a giant asshole.

It's an awards show, sweetie. There is no obligation to be there at all. Awards shows are a dime a dozen, and many awards shows get missed by nominees every year. Missing an awards how for rehearsals certainly does not suggest that he will miss performances; if anything, it suggests he has a high level of commitment to this show. Missing the BAFTAs, an awards ceremony in another country, due to illness in the family, or for any reason at all means nothing. Get a grip, man.

There's that empathy and compassion that people say is missing on BroadwayWorld.
Culkin is a wonderful actor, but completely miscast as Roma anyway.
Going back to the Nathan Lane clip, Lane was initially cast in the show (presumably as Levine) and suggested Bill Burr for Moss. That’s what he says pretty clearly.

Bill Burr Is About to Hit Broadway. Broadway Better Duck.
The acerbic comic sounds like a Mamet character, and thanks to Nathan Lane, he’s making his Broadway debut as one in “Glengarry Glen Ross.”

Nathan Lane tells the story in the Times piece about convincing the Glengarry team to cast Burr as Moss (and yes, Lane was supposed to play Levene- my mistake)
