So curious about this one. I was re-listening to the album and it is more engaging than I remembered and feels very theatrical.

"Sophomore syndrome" is real, though, and no matter what happens this will not hit the heights (hehe) of the generational hit that is HAMILTON. And the Lunt is a big house and HAMILTON is a somewhat economical show all things considered.

This might have been discussed already, but assuming there aren't major new additions to the written material, is this going to be eligible for Best Score? Or does the fact that it was a "concept album" make it eligible?

It will definitely be eligible for Best Score.

Aren't there many examples of this? CHESS, EVITA, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, HADESTOWN?

Schmigadoon is indeed a different situation because it would not normally be considered eligible from having been created for a different medium (see Smash), but they had proved that more than 50% of it was new material specific to the stage show and thus it was eligible.
