Anyhoo, kind of a silly more general show question, but I got into a conversation with a friend about Princess tracks. Ever since I came across the term a couple of months ago I have been fascinated. As many shows as I did back in high school and college, I don't think I had ever heard the term. Maybe it's a newer term and I"m just old now.I started thinking if Funny Girl had one. Would it be the soloist for His Love Makes Me Beautiful? Or am a missing another character?

The parade-performance rehearsals in the cold and 3 shows in a row- double on Wednesday and early 6am call on Thanksgiving... I can see why the star is under the weather and will miss tonight's show! Fee better Lea!

ALL the performances on the parade are lip-synced.  This is for technical purposes.  Lea wasn’t singing live.

JFC, did he say anything about her singing live? We all know it was lip synced, but that has nothing to do with whether or not she had a cold yesterday when she performed in the parade.

Has it been announced that she extended? From the show's website :

 

 

Sunday 2/19 at 3pm Matinee (she will perform Thursday 2/16 at 7pm instead)

Ms. Michele will be on vacation the entire week of 2/20 through 2/26

Sunday 5/14 at 3pm Matinee (she will perform Thursday 5/11 at 7pm instead)

 

We can confirm that all of our other principals remain scheduled to perform all eight ( performances a week barring an unforeseen absence.  

 

Tickets are now on sale through May 28.

People do realize that all performances for the Macy's parade are always lip-synced? People acted as she sang full out at 9am during the parade.

Who is acting like that? It's just being pointed out that she rehearsed for the parade on Tuesday, had 2 shows Wednesday, woke up at 5am Thursday with a head cold and stayed outside in the cold until maybe 9:30am? So it's understandable that she needs rest.

One thing I dislike about the Funny Girl marketing team is how they never utilize their Youtube - Disney uploaded the Lion King performance, Moulin Rouge uploaded theirs, I'm sure other productions have uploaded their performances too but nothing from Funny Girl!

yep. she'll be on vacation in late February.

She said she had a head cold before the parade, so likely taking some extra time to address it, so it doesn't get worse. The announcement this morning (I saw it on IG) said she'd be on tonight (Saturday).
