You're worried that during the peak of Summer (a completely dead time in the industry) that millions of people aren't talking about this? People are on vacations and busy, no one is thinking about a show that starts a full three months from now. Around early/middle of September is when they will ramp up marketing for this. Chillllll."
They asked a question which was answered but for some reason you have to come in and be rude to them. I always think at some point you will be better person on here but I'm always grossly mistaken.

Trust me, I am not "worried" per se. I am not an investor. Pardon any offense with my post, hopefully you can chill yourself or back off the caffeine."
There was no offense to your post. But for years the person who responded back to you always likes to be condescending to others.

Well I for one am very concerned. Not about how they do financially. All I'm thinking about is myself. Every morning I've been putting my earbuds in on the train into work & listening to one of the recordings. I really am partial to the concert with Menzel & Groban. Lately I keep thinking, "Will I be satisfied seeing this only once?" My trip is 4 months away, and this year I'm only doing 5 full days in the city because I plan to finally visit Washington DC for my first time ever for 5 days before moving on to NYC. Do I drop something else from my schedule & see this twice?
Usually I'm still deciding what to see right up until a week or 2 before, but this year I've got almost everything planned already. But I've been rethinking all my plans - maybe do I drop a day from DC? I'm really fretting over this. If I try to be reasonable I know I should wait for previews to start & hear what early reports are.

Yes I've noticed that trend, over and over.

"I will be fascinated to see what approach they take to promotion in the coming months to bring in an audience. I do think they need to get the music out there early, whether with appearances on TV or even taking a lead from the original concept album release and get some videos out there going viral on tiktok. This show has some real bangers that could hook people in."
Well, TV appearances shouldn't be a problem. Lea has friends on the talk show circuit and I guess Aaron as well. Regarding song clips on TikTok, does anybody know how this works on the licensing side?
Also, Lea recently had a "Press Day". I assume that was for Chess but I haven't seen any interviews so far.
Edit: Scratch that. The press day was for some ad campaign she's doing on the side. My second wrong assumption in this thread. Just ignore me.
It seems odd to me that it is now August and they haven't announced who the lighting, costume and scenic designers are.
I can understand still waiting awhile for the rest of the cast announcement but they must have locked in the creatives by now.
Has anyone heard anything?

I'm starting to think they are going to wait to make the rest of the announcements until they start rehearsals next month as there has just been no hints of other casting etc. I do suspect as discussed previously that Bradley Dean, Bryce Pinkham and Sean Allan Krillis will likely be Molokov, The Arbiter and Walter as they were all in the 2018 and 2022 concerts and Bradley as there has been no discussion of other actors. Svetlana seems to be the big secret at this point.
I would love to know who the other creative are though as it would give an idea what direction they are going in.
They were discussing in the Broadway All the Moving Parts discussion on YT the other day about whether Michael might be influenced by Michael Bennett's original idea for Chess ( that Trevor Nunn had completely chucked out by the time it got to Broadway) and that having Lorin Latarro as choreographer was a sign they were going go lean into his vision a bit more, as well as wondering if they would go with the use of big screens they way Michael Bennett imagined way before its become trendy now but we will have to wait and see.

His go to Ligting Designer is Kevin Adams and he was involved with Mayer's 2018 KC Chess. Susan Hilferty has also been associated with Mayer for Costumes but Clint Ramos did them at the KC w/ sets by David Rockwell.

Well either way, Solea Pfeiffer better be Svetlana

Seems pretty readable to me -- what part can't you "literally" read?

Isn't Solea doing Wanted? I mean I guess she could do Chess for a couple months since I think Wanted is aiming for a Spring opening, but that's not really helpful for the production. Feel like it would be smarter to open with another solid name that doesn't have to jump ship 3 months in.

Baffled that they've stuck with that Microsoft Paint-eqsue font for the show title when there's SO much you could do with this!

Last I heard she is. Signing her to open CHESS is probably a non starter especially since she brings no box office value and it’s not a massive role…better to hire someone who can commit more than 3-4 months.

The combination of the grey names on top of B&W photos on a poor quality screen. The title is also pretty hard to read. The "HE" in Chess just disappears in Lea's chest.
They're also pretty low-quality photos of moving images on an LED screen. You're mostly getting blur and terrible noise that wouldn't be there in person. I don't know why BWW saw fit to even publish them.
They look like photos from a newspaper.

Seriously? Then you've never encountered Darren Criss fans.
I understand why landlords replaced traditional marquees with LED screens. What I don’t understand is why they chose screens that photograph SO BADLY!!!! Not all screens and billboards look that bad on camera, yet somehow Broadway went with the worst option!!! It actively hurts their marketing.

Solea is not doing Chess.
And I'm fairly certain the role is smaller than i has been in recent iterations. Read into that what you will.

Maybe, but I don't know why that should affect my appreciation for the performances they give on stage.

If I'm reading into that that Lea Michele will sing "Someone Else's Story," then this version already has my endorsement.

I don’t care about whether Lea sings it, but I do care about Florence getting to sing it, so hallelujah!
