I've seen Becky as Elle and Margot, and I thought she was absolutely fantastic in both parts. I'm really hoping to try and catch her Serena while Tracy is on vacation. I'd have to disagree with whoever said Cara is the best Serena in the cast. I think that honor undoubtedly goes to Tracy, who I think is better than Leslie Kritzer as well.
Another FABULOUS understudy in that show is Lindsay Nicole Chambers. I've seen her on in quite a few roles (Enid, and almost all the ensemble tracks she covers, including once in a pinch going on for Kevin Pariseau in the Harvard scene during 'What You Want') and she has always been consistently fantastic, funny, and impressive vocally. I don't understand why she doesn't cover any of the bigger parts, I think she'd be great as Margot, or even as Vivienne.
Yeah, I've heard so much good from LNC, I wish I could see her. But I most likely won't be able to. From what I hear she would make a good anything in the show.
Jason Gillman is hysterical as Dewey. He plays it very over the top and very smooth. I had no idea he understudied Norbert in DRS....I knew he was in the ensemble, but didn't know he understudies such a major role...anyone ever see him go on?
I saw him! He was hilarious. I had never seen NLB, but I honestly didn't miss him by the time the show ended.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

a bit of a thread-jack but; out of wonder, who plays the court stenographer/bend and snap "cat lady"? I can't place her for the life of me

Can somebody post the picture (or the website that has it) of Becky Gulsvig as Serena that somebody previously mentioned. They said it is found on her website, but I can't find the website.
Becky Gulsvig was on as Margot tonight, and was FABULOUS as always. Hilarious and and such a great voice.
It was a great show, lots of energy, everyone was totally on their game. Orfeh, especially, gave a phenomenal vocal performance, lots of riffing. I'll defnitely miss Noah, he made a lot out of his role, and I'm sure he'll be fantastic in South Pacific. I haven't seen Andy Karl on as Kyle in awhile, and I just forgot how perfect he is in that part, he's completely hilarious. I pray one day that he'll get a part that will let him show off how talented he is.
These are some pics of Becky as Elle..and Andy Karl as Emmit! *sigh*
These are Becky as Serena - as you see, it's her Delta Nu wig
And this is Gaeleen as Vivienne and Enid
Sorry for the poor image quality for the Becky pics - I got them from her site and they were really small. It doesn't let you click on them to expand them - they're just thumbnails. But to see more Becky pics, go to beckygulsvig.com I got the Gaeleen ones from her fan myspace.
I haven't seen the show in a long time and wound up as a friends "date". I had no idea it was Weisberg's last show but that explains why I saw all the usual suspects in the first 2 rows. There were a few understudies on and while Gaelen Gilliland is fine in her usual role as the mother, she was barely audible as Vivienne, so it wasn't great. Becky Gulsvig was terrific as Margot, really silly and energetic, Bundy didn't sound as bad as she has in recent past and Orfeh and Andy Karl are still the best excuse to go see Blonde. It amazes me, his laughs get bigger and her voice is simply awe-inspiring. The notes she's hitting in Bend& Snap gave me chills. Maybe it was the energy which comes from losing an original cast member but it was one of the better Blonde performances I've seen.
I thought LBB was very on last night. Her "So Much Better" was fierce...
I think Gaelen as Vivienne does well with what she can do in the role, but the role doesn't really suit her as a whole, so it's hard to get past that for me.
It was great to see Orfeh and Andy Karl back up on stage....with the strike and their vacation, I hadn't seen either one of them in their roles in months and I was reminded just how fantastic they each are.
Becky is a terrific Margot. She's a terrific everything :-P Love the pictures. I just wish she had a better wig.
And I love the pics of Gaelen as Enid!

"Also, Tracy Jai Edwards will be on vacation starting January 7th, I think is what was said and I assume it's for a week.... "
So she probably won't be there on the 13th? I was really looking forward to seeing her. Guess I'll have to see the show some other time just to see her, lol. Anyone know how long she'll stay?
btw - where is the understudy board located in the theater so I can check who's on for that day?
