LBB misses atleast once a week? thats kinda unprofessional. and if thats true, wouldnt she be fired by now? What performance does she typically miss? I'm going Sunday 5-25 @ 2:00. But i've heard nothing but positive about Guslving. But still LBB IS the original lead. Who else is typically a miss?
Well, I was being sarcastic, but she's been missing a lot in the past few months. Granted, with the role she's playing and the part she has to sing, I can see her being extremely exhausted, but I feel like I hear about Becky going on A LOT. Why they're doing the reality and not bumping her up in beyond me. At least she's got the tour, which means I'll get to see her.
I agree it's probably an exhausting role to do. However, wasn't that to be expected, and shouldn't you go into knowing that? What was it that Angela Lansbury said -- doing the title role in a Broadway musical is akin to taking the veil. I don't know why LBB and others have been out so much, but I know that with that kind of schedule, you'd better never let yourself get sick, because it's so hard to get over it.
just a thought- perhaps laura is letting Becky go on with some regularity to make up for the fact that she is getting screwed out of taking over the role on broadway. I know she is getting the tour but its still a thought

Flippancy, only 3 of those roles were principles. then everyone else was filling in for the understudies going on and Beth Curry has injured herself so she's out for awhile
Orfeh & Andy are on vacation and Orfeh even has her *next* personal day already listed on both her my space page and website. I have been standing on line when people have complained and wanted a refund for some of the leads being out in Legally blonde, be it for vacation absences or random unexpected reasons. They technically can't get one because no one is billed over the title but I'm sure some actors still care about the importance of actually going to work. Look at the "impeccable attendance" thread.
I think people are trying to take their vacation time before their contracts are up. I don't know the full deal with that kind of stuff, but I do know they get a certain number of days they are entitled to.
Glad to hear Kate Rockwell was good...I'm excited to see her...of course, I don't know when that will be with the new student rush policy

love the pictures of michelle as brooke. i agree can not wait to see what she looks as pilar. its safe to buy july 20th tickets. i asked rusty if he was sad to her go and he said yes its so sad and its coming quick but we always come back together some how and i love her to death. forgot to ask what she is doing next. just not to put on a different thread, i loved and adored kate rockwells margot, and can not wait to see her elle. her chemistry with the cast unbelievably wonderful. but annaleigh will always be the best margot. so far seen all three full time margots, my ranking 3. haven , 2. kate, and 1. annaleigh.
for all you die hard fans out there, who is behind michelle in the white dress brooke pic?

Michelle's Serena was a lot of fun this afternoon. Fantastic dancing (as you would expect), but not quite getting all the laughs yet. Still, a fine performance.
By the way, the matinee today was the most low energy performance of this show I've ever been to. With the exception of the always incredible Orfeh and the delightful Kate Shindle, the cast was walking through the show today. Laura Bell Bundy has no voice left, and it's almost embarrassing she's still allowed to play this role.
