thanks kelly2 for the update. me too cant wait to see the tour.
two understudies to star in the tour...so excited about it. becky, natalie...who will be next from the broadway cast past and present to join them on tour?. when is natalies last day in the show?.
those two are going to wonderful chemistry on stage.
Anyone know what happened to Blake? He didn't appear sick in act 1.
There was a lot more energy tonight than when I last saw the show, a week ago (I went tonight to see Becky). It was Kittrell's last show, and she had a few fans in the rush seats who rather annoyingly kept waving in her general direction a number of times.
Becky is a lovely Elle, and will do a fine job on tour.
Haven Burton was in the audience tonight, perhaps to support Kittrell? She was sitting in the box directly across from me, on the house left side.
thanks for review. glad to read that haven was there and it seems like cast is family once your in or out of the cast. so sweet she was there. did laura do a speech for michelle? i would have loved to see those four understudies together.
sorry i read your review but i guess i was in a blonde moment. i am wondering too why blake left at intermission. did you also love kate rockwells chemistry with the cast?. i think she will be the number one u/s for elle when becky leaves.
Haven Burton was most definitely not in the audience as she is in LA.
and I thought Kittrell's fans were sweet! you could tell they really enjoyed her. I thought her performance tonight was stellar!
Becky, on the other hand, was rather bland and lacks any stage presence. and her inability to generate even ONE tear over the course of the entire musical is rather shocking.
does anyone else think they should start letting natalie understudy paulette before she leaves for the tour? Its so weird to me that a cast member is leaving to tour in a different role they don't cover. It would be like andy karl showing up as warner one night (on second thought i really want to see that happen now)

I don't think it matters if they can produce tears in every scene. Some people that can really over do it, in my opinion LBB can over do the crying but that's my opinion.
Wow, Bill Richards is the most random spammer. I've seen random threads STARTED by spammers, but never a spammer coming into an already established thread and doing stuff.
Becky showed excellent emotional range the few times I Saw her.
I wish they would let Natalie understudy Paulette before she left, but it's kind of moot since Orfeh rarely misses and she probably wouldn't have a chance to go on. Does anyone know when her last day is?
Richard Blake threw his back out in the first act and endured it until he finally had to leave at intermission. As far as I know, he wasn't on yesterday either and I'm not sure when he will be back.
Or he could have been back yesterday but judging from the amount of pain he was in, I doubt it.
Just a heads up for those who want to see his understudy or want to see him when they go...its a toss up right now.

Richard Blake was not at last nights show. And neither was half of the cast. The cast list was as follows. Elle: LBB Emmett: Christian Borle Paulette: Gaelen Gilliland(resaon I saw the show last night :) best Paulette out there) Callahan: Michael Rupert Warner: Jason Gillman(eh. kinda funny) Vivienne: the AMAZING Kate Shindle Brooke: Nicolette Hart Margot: Tiffany Engen(very funny. forgot to sing, "as you slap her to the floor" in Posivite. Keep it positive...(chirp, chirp)...asyouslaphertothefloor, but she played it off very well. Serena: Tracy Jai Edwards Pilar: Michelle Kitrell (pretty funny. Anyone know if she wears a wig for Pilar? It was the exact same style and the highlights were very similar to the regular Pilar wig, it was just reddish with whitish highlights.) Dewey/kyle: Mathew Risch (he was good, very funny as Dewey) Gabby/Steno.: Casey Leigh Thompson (SO funny, even better than Beth. She was also very nice at the SD) SM/Judge: Dani Spieler (she was good, her singing was great, but her dancing could use some work. She also shouldn't wear Amber's judge wig, she looked like a ghost) Grandmaster Chad and Carlos: Rod Harrelson (SO FUNNY. he was one of the highlights of the show{beswides Gaelen and Kate, of course) Nikos: Nick Kenkel (he was funny and does a good accent, although he does not look the least bit hispanic, I think that may have added to the comedy) Padamadan: Rusty Mowery (He was also good, he is a great dancer and a good singer) Lindsay Nicole Chambers: Gaelen's track (she was funny and looks exactly like Kathy Griffith in her reddish Whitney wig.)
And for anyone who is interested in who came out the stage door: Michael Rupert, Tiffany Engen, Bryce Ryness, Nick Kenkel, Casey Leigh Thompson, Dani Spieler, Kevin Pariseau, Nicolette Hart, Stephanie Fittro,Gaelen Gilliland, Kate Shindle, and Laura Bell Bundy. Everyone was very nice, they all took pictures and signed autographs.
