If his previous attempts at "comedy" are any indication, this broadcast will be a snoozefest. Not looking forward to it..

Lin-Manuel Miranda and twenty one pilots! So hype!

This is really going to be interesting. Yeah sure he's a Broadway darling that the media has fallen in love with too, but in terms of awareness of people that have actually seen him in anything aside from talk show appearances compared to the big stars they bring in the ratings...I suppose that the new audiences that'll bring will balance out the people that will just skip it.
Just glad it isn't the opener. Not a fan of his acting.

That's because his acting skills are nonexistent. #truthbomb
OMG Liza, why you gotta be such a hater. He acts well. You're a #stinkbomb
Having a personality known primarily for their Broadway work host SNL is incredible. He'll be great.

Nah. This isn't a #truthbomb, it's just your opinion. Also, his 2 Tony nominations would disagree.
As an actor he's got more charisma than chops, but what we're forgetting is charisma goes a long way. Even on HOUSE, he was basically playing a variation on himself, but his unique nature brought that character to life.

SNL is no HOUSE. Just to be clear.
Also: this is SNL, not Masterpiece Theatre. The best SNL hosts are charismatic, natural entertainers who are used to the demands of live performance and willing to put themselves out there and commit.

And if anybody has seen recent seasons of SNL, he can only elevate the proceedings.

I just really, really hope there's not more than 1 Hamilton sketch. I can see it being the opening monologue with cast and "audience" members asking for tickets, a sketch of famous people visiting backstage, a digital short about John Adams or something, etc etc.
I'll be in San Francisco to see Hedwig that weekend - thank god for PVR's. Man, I would love it if Lin rapped with Twenty One Pilots - that would be epic.

Or more than 1 sketch that leads to a rap battle.

Exactly. I mean to say/imply this as well. I won't fault Miranda since the process of SNL is basically "the best of" what the writers throw at you that Lorne approves.

FWIW, he's on the cover of the new GQ. Almost didn't recognize him.

^Couldn't agree more...
Praying for a Kate McKinnon Hillary HAMILTON style rap battle.
