So I was looking through a few today and I thought Idina Menzel for the 2004 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical was filled with heart and very emotional.
Who do you think had a beautiful touching speech that made you get all choked up? Please provide the link showing everyone, as I have done below:

Most recently, Karen Olivo's choked me up. And, of course, Daisy Eagan's speech was too sweet for words.
"I could make some snarky-esc remark about this but I will be strait foward. I am pretty sure there was a thread about this. Next time use the search tool, to make sure your not posting something that has already been posted."
If you are so straight forward about it, how come you didn't post a link with your response?
I thought Karen Olivo's speech for West Side Story was emotional as well; you could tell she was really happy about her award.
Ok I searched, there are different threads about "best" and "favorite" so, I'm gonna go hide in a corner...
I also think that Karen Olivo's was full of heart and was very truthful. Alice Ripley's was also emmotional, in a way.
i agree, alice ripleys was really emotional. that woman is full of passion and i love her for it
I love watching David Hyde Pierce win his for Curtains. Just an amazing speech and his is so happy.
Michael Jeter's speech for GRAND HOTEL was a truly inspiring and emotional moment.
Jeter's speech was so emotional.......as was Christian Hoff's for "Jersey Boys." When Laura B won for "Gypsy," as well.

Michael Jeter's speech is the one that immediately comes to my mind too.
I think that Michael Crawford gave quite an emotional speech when he won for "Phantom" back in 1988.
Karen Olivo and Alice Ripley (more exuberance than "emotion") are the most recent I -- and obviously others -- can think of...

I concur with respect to Michael Jeter's speech.
I also concur with Michael Jeter's speech. was it taken off of youtube, though?
Yes to Michael Jeter.
This isn't his speech. Watch it anyway.
When Raul Esparza. finally won his Tony for Company. That was a great moment.

Raul was great but seeing Bernadette triumph after all the grief she took for Gypsy- Well, it just blew me away. what a classy lady.
Michael Bennett's win over Hal Prince and Bob Fosse in 1976, while only slightly coked out, was truly touching. "All I ever wanted to do was direct a Broadway show...".
Speaking of coked-out Tony acceptance speeches, my absolute FAV is when Liza won for THE ACT and Steve Rubbell literally falls out of his seat next to her he is so ebulliently excited! Even the chair he sat on was numb! Oh, to be in that limo that night...
Ah, the good old days...

P.S. LOL taz!

Cherry Jones' acceptance speech or Doubt, when she actually told people to go see Kathleen Turner in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? was pretty emotional.
And I'll second the David Hyde Pierce one (though yeah, Raul should have won...but that's not DHP's fault...)
I totally agree Raul should have won.
I adored Angela Lansbury's speech this past year, so gracious...so classy.
And although it wasn't emotional, I loved Geoffery Rush's speech. Entertaining, genuine, one of the best I've seen.
I haven't seen it in years but I recall Heather Headley's speech moving me to tears.
Karen Olivo
Sutton Foster
Laura Benanti
Angela Lansbruy (All of them but particularly the resent one)
Gavin Cre- Oh wait!
