Can there be one episode where Jimmy doesn't fly off the handle? Sheesh. It's getting old.
Oh and of freaking course Karen helped him write the song.

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!

They need not put Anjelica Huston in a strapless dress anymore.

Wow. That last scene with Karen and Jimmy was laughably bad. If ever I had any doubts about Kat McPhee's acting abilities being bad, that just shut them down.

I burst into laughter when Jeremy said he may have just done some drugs. The whole scene was delectable camp.
Marie: Don't be in such a hurry about that pretty little chippy in Frisco.
Tony: Eh, she's a no chip!

Really? They made such a big deal out of Ivy getting the lead in a revival and they have mentioned it only one time this episode? I was looking forward to hearing Megan Hilty do more pieces from it....come on Smash

Also, I laughed out loud at the thought of Jennifer Hudson singing I Could Have Danced All Night.....

Wow. In one short scene, they made Ellis more of a legitimate evil person than he ever was when he appeared onscreen.

He was "rolling"...that's what the kids call it these days.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

Clearly I've read the Vulture recaps too much, because when his name was being written out, I thought, "NO! His name is Ellis Dappledawn!" :-p

I laughed at "If I Loved You." I love her voice, but JHud is not a soprano.
Also, a musical about a woman from the POV of men? Oh, just what the world needs!

overall, I enjoyed tonight's episode. loved every number and I like the direction it's heading in. McPhee proves she can't act & Jordan's character is so poorly writen, it's sad. Wasn't Ellis supposed to come back for one episode anyway?? Looking foward to next week's episode!! BTW, is the final number available anywhere to download?? I thought it was pretty flawless.

What is the relationship between the two songwriters? Are they brothers? Lovers? Just roommates? Because the skinny one seems to be a bit too protective of the angry one.
