Yes. That's noted in the Playbill already. I'm curious about the new swing that joined this week that's already gone on.

Four swings on tonight apparently and nobody knows who this new swing is....

Sydney is a revelation as Eurydice! Lucky audience!

I would be surprised- those two parts were the most re-conceived in the years between NYTW and its current form. Neither Daunno nor Sullivan are really right for them now. 

New casting starting September 2:

• Morgan Dudley as Eurydice
• Kurt Elling as Hermes
• Rebecca Naomi Jones as Persephone
• Paulo Szot as Hades
• Jack Wolfe as Orpheus 

Also, Wolfe will not be performing from September 9-21.

That only works if you're hiring a name... otherwise its not a surprise, its just casting.

If I remember correctly, Sullivan was in talks to return after the conclusion of THIS IS US, but ended up doing The Thanksgiving Play that year.

I remember reading that both couldn't make it work. Chris Sullivan had timing conflicts with other work, per an interview a couple years ago is open to the idea of returning but it never worked out - not sure if that's changed since.

Damon and Amber both were involved with the Oklahoma! revival and due to scheduling basically had to pick between them. Damon chose Oklahoma!, Amber chose Hadestown. Per Damon at a stage door convo, he liked Hadestown fine but it was more 'just a job' to him than something he was really invested in. Didn't get the impression there was any beef, just neutral feelings. I imagine he'd come back if he needed work and they offered it, but the role has changed so much I don't think they would.
