Alex Lugo will be taking over Tara's Persephone cover."
Yes. That's noted in the Playbill already. I'm curious about the new swing that joined this week that's already gone on.

I saw the second show with Ali and Myra. I think Ali will be pretty good once he settles into the role a little more, but I enjoyed his performance nonetheless. Myra can sing the part but her acting was... rough. The rest of the cast is in great shape - Merle Dandridge has improved immeasurably since the last time I saw her and is probably my favorite Persephone since Amber Gray, Phillip Boykin is perfection as always, and Daniel Breaker has really made the role his own.
Four swings on tonight apparently and nobody knows who this new swing is....
Chibueze Ihuoma is on as Orpheus tonight while Sydney Parra makes her Eurydice debut tonight with Max Kumangai as Hades. Three swings are also on tonight.

Does anyone have any insight into whether any of the original cast from NYTW were ever offered the opportunity to do it on Broadway? Specifically, Damon Daunno and Chris Sullivan. I know Sullivan probably has more lucrative offers in the TV world, but Daunno is a Tony nominee and still primarily works in theater.

I would be surprised- those two parts were the most re-conceived in the years between NYTW and its current form. Neither Daunno nor Sullivan are really right for them now.

Yeah, the Orpheus changed a LOT, and for the better. He was by far my least favorite part at NYTW and it took me until Broadway to realize that it had been the character and not Damon.
I really loved Chris Sullivan’s Hermes and and so glad we have the partial cast recording from that production to preserve his performance. I was most sad about losing him when it came to Broadway, but of course Andre De Shields was incredible and the role was very different by then.
