There is yet another tour clip of Wicked, but this time, it came from the Denver Center for Performing Arts website.
Here's the link: http://www.denvercenter.org/uploads/photo_media/wicked.wmv
The special thing about this clip is that you finally get the longer version of the songs (but not full-length) of Defying Gravity, Popular, and One Short Day. There is no talking or any interviews.
Enjoy!

this is fabulous! Love the tour cast!
That just gave me chills. I love the camera work.
OHH YAY!! thank you much!!!!
I very much enjoyed this.
Anyone think this is structured a bit funny? If anything, the clips should be in reverse with "Defying Gravity" as the second half. It just seems kinda anti-climatic ending on "One Short Day"....
And, uhm. "Tell thumb", eh? "Tell thumb how I am defying gravity..." Not making fun of Stephanie, it's just strange phrasing.
But I agree on the camera work. It's really phenominal. I loved the swing-around with Fiyero holding off the guards and Glinda standing in the back. Very nice.
... oh my. My former Wicked geek is showing. Off to find my Wickie meds... it's a slow recovery process, gotta say.

She says Tell Them...I listened to it over again at the part.
Thank Jesus! I've been waiting for a DG that full for a while now.
Oh, I know that's what she's SAYING... it just sounds more like "thumb"....
((And, ooops. I was quoting the wrong "them" too...))
And soon I'll match 'thumb' in renown...

I love Stephanies reactions to Kendra during 'popular', so subtle but so funny, lol. I also love the shot of the guy doing back flips in 'one short day'.
lol did anyone else see Carol Kane twirling and twirling...and twirling?
That was absolutely fabulous. That is the first time I heard anything from the tour cast. I like that Kendra doesn't mimic Kristin as Galinda/Glinda. And Derrick ,what a cutie!
Kendra sounds NOTHING like Kristin. So refreshing to see that the role can be played different ways. Kendra seems to play her more...real, for lack of a better word, from what I've seen.

when I saw Steph in LA, you could drive a truck through her choppy phrasing at the end of Defying Gravity
"Bring me-eh-down" hold for 2 beats, HUGE momentum killing PAUSE and then "eh -ehown"
I loved the camera work, and the cast sounds great!
Great Video!
Thanks for sharing.

I know exactly what you mean, probably my only complaint against her is that she cuts off the final notes SO quickly.

watch it tall guy, don't make me kick your ass! LOL j/k
Stephanie can sing it any glorious way she wants :)
wow, that looks great, wish I could see Stephanie, maybe I can convince my mom to take me to hartford!!!!
I HAVE A THEORY! :)
It's about why Stephanie cuts the note short at the part where she goes "bring me down" and the ensemble comes in and goes "look at her she's wicked, get her!" In this one clip I saw of it, I think it might've been on the chicago website trailer, I almost got the impression she doesn't hold out the 'down' when the ensemble comes in with the "look at her..." part because she made this face and looked down at them, like stopping for a sec in reaction to them coming in and yelling against her, if that makes any sense. I just thought it was cool. It was like she cut it off because she noticed all the "Ozians" coming after her, and then was like screw you and continued on. I don't know. That's my take on it. Anyone else understand or am I crazy?:)

When the previous tour trailer was available, weren't people saying they thought it used Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth's vocals for "One Short Day"? This clip makes it pretty clear they used Stephanie J. Block and Kendra Kassebaum's vocals on that song (which makes sense).
