Is it just me or does Peter Hermann have Cheyenne Jackson eyes in that pic?
It's not just you, Sondheim Geek.
Also, Anna Camp was in the first episode.
Anna Camp was pretty funny.
I didn't realize David Pittu would be guest-starring, I have a crush on him since SEX & THE CITY, a crush that only grew stronger when I saw him wearing boxers in LOVEMUSIK.
And 1/2 of Old Springs Pike was there in the first episode for about 30 seconds. (Heather and Smith) But you heard them singing for a longer!
I love stuff that still films in NY.
Me too, I remember when UGLY BETTY was supposed to film in NY. That was pretty fun, then they decided to move it to LA after the pilot and we get stuck with those awful blue screen shots of "Queens."
More shows should be filmed in NY.

Like Dirty Sexy Money...a NY show which films in LA.
Am I the only one who thought it was TERRIBLE, NY actors and all? Talk about a really poor mans version of SATC.
No, you're not, they lost me after I had to see Lucy Lui type in the same email to her third friend.

Anyone notice the woman who broke up the roundable restuarant scene during the credits? None other than Mr. Big's first wife on Sex & The City. I say here! here! to a new drinking game. "Spot the Sex & the City day-players!!"

YES. I'm not sure why I watched the whole pilot. Although, I will probably tune in to see some of the guest stars.
I agree about it being a poor man's SATC.
I think Brian d'Arcy James is supposed to be in it somewhere as the girls' frequent meeting place restaurant owner. He wasn't in the pilot at all...
I don't think anyone mentioned yet that Ann Heredia (sp!!) from Avenue Q was on tonight's.

I actually saw them film an exterior shot a couple of months ago in the village, just west of 6th ave below 4th street. Lucy Liu was at some guy's apartment. It showed him standing at the doorway with her and then her getting into a black car and driving off. It was so long ago, though, that I don't remember which guy it was.
I'm more excited about Lipstick Jungle because what's majorly lacking from this show is SATC's incredible writing.
When is the Lipstick Jungle starting? I'm excited to see Brooke Shields on it. And Sarah Hyland from Grey Gardens will also be on it.
I have a feeling Ann Harada will have a recurring role. Wasn't she like a secretary or something?
Edit: corrected the spelling.
i have to admit, i'm already addicted to this show! can't wait for next week!

Lipstick Jungle has to be better, nothing can be this bad.

Wow. Not related to the show, but it's Ann Harada. Just Google it.
David Pittu was pretty funny last night.
LIPSTICK JUNGLE is not going to be written by Michael Patrick King so I don't see why you would think its writing would be comparable to that from SEX AND THE CITY. The only thing the two have in common is that they are based on a Candance Bushnell, CASHMERE MAFIA is produced by SEX AND THE CITY's creator Darren Starr so if anything, this show has more in common to the HBO series.
I wonder how LIPSTICK will compare, Brooke Shields is the only one of the three principals that I like.
I must confess CASHMERE is pretty cliched and predictable but I'm already hooked and I have a crush on Bonnie Sommerville, she's hilarious.
And don't forget that Michael Pressman, currently represented on Broadway by Come Back, Little Sheba, is one of the show's directors and producers.

Sarah is playing Brooke Shield's daughter. Lipstick Jungle begins airing on February 7th on NBC @ 10pm (Thursday). It is a great show, well written, well directed, and very well acted. Candace is the Executive Producer and lead writer on the show. So Darren Starr vs. Candace Bushnell...my vote is for Lipstick Jungle.
