Not movie stars but lemme say it again

Kirsten Dunst. She would have been a killer Sally Bowles in the last revival. She’d be great in so many plays too.

Not a star, but a true working film actor: Gary Oldman.

Well now I can’t stop thinking about how incredible this would have been.

Would love to see Florence Pugh do a musical. She started in musical theatre. She just went to see Just in Time.
I doubt she would do it, but Anna Kendrick is a Tony nominee and would like to see her on stage as an adult.
Hopefully Jessie Buckley might consider a Broadway show eventually.
idk if Isabelle Huppert is too European for Broadway but I would love to see her in something more commercial.
Monica Barbaro has some theatrical background and is doing a show in the UK soon.
Brie Larson should bring a play to Broadway also.
Hopefully Emma Stone can originate a role at some point.
Hailee Steinfeld would be cool to see too.

I fear I must see Weird Al as King Herod.

Kidman once said the reason she did not do that production of Photograph 51 in New York was due to her children. But that was ten years ago, her kids are older, and she noticeably works nonstop in film/tv. If she is up for the challenge of eight shows a week, anything is possible. (PS: There is a film adaptation in pre-production of this play starring Natalie Portman, directed by Tom Hooper.)

Correct, which is very unfortunate. She is one of the finest and bravest actors working today, she'd be incredible live.
She has also said that she doesn't consider herself an actor, and straight-up rebukes the term in reference to herself. Never understood that, but anyway.

I want Weird Al to play zidler in Moulin rouge, and also the emcee in cabaret.
I've been saying I want both Al and Gerard to play the emcee, and it's something I need before I die. (I'm 16, death shouldn't come for me for at least 11 more years)

I'd sell everything I own to see Kate Winslet in Little Night Music. I think she'd be perfect. I also don't think it's wildly outside the realm of possibility.
My gay fever dream is Gaga in Passion, but I think considering her well documented health problems a full Broadway run isn't in the cards for her. Perhaps a more limited run where she doesn't do all eight performances. What I think is most likely for any potential Tony win to contribute to her EGOT chances would come from writing her own show, which she's talked about recently. But she's kind of busy right now, so I don't see anything happening any time soon.

Ah, she is such a great comedian. I haven't heard of her new work in a very long time. Whatever happened to her.
I don’t ask for much in life: just a Julie and Cate Night Music. So much to ask 🤷♂️

Oh I second Julie and Cate in A little night music over and over. Had 2020 not happened and had Scott Rudin not been blacklisted the 2021 Julie Andrews and Cate Blanchett revival is the biggest loss of the century in my opinion

I’m not a Jamie Lloyd fan but friends raved about the much ado with Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell I’d love it to transfer.
Also waiting patiently for Mike Faist to return to Broadway.
I saw Cate Blanchett off Bway but she needs a Tony!

I really miss Mom. Her latest, she’s got pink-eye in a Walmart commercial. For real.

In a previous thread, someone stated that the “Much Ado” did indeed have plans to transfer, though I’ve heard nothing officially. I too would love to see it! (And have some sort of timeline for its arrival).
Stateside, I’d love to see a Full Monty with some of young Hollywood’s rising stars: Dylan O’Brian, Joe Keery and (currently playing Seymour in Little Shop), Milo Manheim.

There were rumors on this board about Nicolas Cage not long ago, and that I would definitely want to see.
Leonardo Dicaprio might also be entertaining a phase of his career like Clooney or Downey where trying out a stage production might be appealing.
For women, Jennifer Lawrence feels like she'd be a blast on stage. Zoe Saldaña, too, especially in a musical.
