I just came across the video of Colleen Ballinger singing Defying Gravivty.... She HAS the voice and acting skills to do Elphaba, but her schedule probably would have issues allowing it. She is also doing the Alyssa Fox riff which is interesting, she must be pretty familiar because most people stick to what the Cast recording has. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D40F1WAIqiw
I love Colleen, but her performance only fits into her Miranda show. I really don’t think she could handle the score.

She’s far too well known for a standby position... I just flat out don’t think she has the right voice for this show.

Keating was fabulous on tour - happy she's back on Broadway!

It was never confirmed she was ever joining!! It won't be until May at the earliest, and probably not until July when Jackie Burns leaves. Jackie is an AMAZING Elphaba, arguably better than Vosk in some aspects and I don't think producers would try to push Jackie to not-renew just so they can get Jess.
I saw Jackie during her first run on broadway in 2012 and then again this past weekend - she is incredible. I’m just looking forward to seeing Jessica :)
Steven, how was the whole production? I'm thinking of revisiting the show in the coming weeks as I've never seen the show on Broadway (only tour) and would love to see Jackie.
LesWickedly, the production is in great shape. I’ve seen this specific production 9x since 2004 and it’s still in a great place. I’ve only disliked this production once, a few years ago.

Does anyone have any idea when Jackie and Amanda Jane's contracts are up? Any insight or direction to another board/message that has this info (looked and didn't see anything so apologies if there is stuff out there) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much! :)

According to someone on the Innuendo Outendo boards, Ginna Claire Mason (Glinda) said on her Twitter recently that she will be playing at least until the end of the Omaha run, which ends on 3 June. She'll have been on tour for around 15 months then, so I'd guess there might be a new Glinda in June.
I'm really not sure about Mary Kate Morrissey (Elphaba). She started her run in late September, so June is about 9 months later. I think that's around the rough average for an Elphaba contract, so maybe she leaves with Ginna Claire, or maybe be stays longer. (Jessica Vosk before her did about 13 months)
Chad Jennings (Dillamond) and Jody Gelb (Morrible) have both returned to the tour within the last two/three weeks, so they'll presumably be in their roles. Someone on the same boards said that Robin deJesus (Boq) has a few months left on his contract too, but no idea how many.
