Will be there next week after loving it at St Anns, very excited
I thought this was absolutely flawless at St. Ann's so I'm very excited to see it again. I wonder if they'll have standing room like CITS usually has.
So, is there someone credited with new lyrics? Just watched a video clip of Ali Stroker singing “I cain’t say no” and the bulk of the lyrics are new

I solidly beg to differ. Here is the video clip to which I was referring https://youtu.be/zyQsv8L_5aA
Yes, those are the original lyrics. It's an encore of the song with lyrics by Hammerstein.
Updated On: 3/19/19 at 12:07 PMI stand corrected. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard that encore, but I’ve learned something new today.

Those are indeed the original lyrics. You can hear them on Kaye Ballard's version on Spotify. They're also in the movie.

The picnic tables on the floor get chili and cornbread at intermission

Everyone got chili and cornbread at St. Ann's.
Another great thing to note from that image is how the onstage band now has a runway down the center, and it looks like there may be a few less band members actually on stage. This should vastly improve sightlines and sound issues.
I imagine the whole production is intact - the only question, are they mic'd? I didn't have a personal issue with that at St. Ann's but I know lots of people did.
I'll be there again tonight! Cannot wait! Will report back.
Wow at first glance I thought that was St. Ann's. I sat in the obstructed view section at St. Ann's and the view was similar (I was closer to the band.) Also, I agree that the band looks closer to the actors.
At St. Ann's everyone got free chili! That was fun.
I can't seem to see the 2 doors at the wall there.
In St. Ann's during the dream ballet scene with the falling boots I recall both men were behind the two doors on the wall (opposite from the band.)
Anyway, for those seeing this show this evening for the first preview, have a great time!

Yeah I know. I thought i read an article that said it was only for the lower seats, but I cant find it so i must have been mistaken.
Ayyyeeeee.. chili for everyone - I can dig it.
Won a lottery seat for tonight. Its one of the floor tables.

I was hoping that’s where the lotto seats were going to be! Thanks for posting that!
So two of us who requested 1 seat got tables. A few others that got pairs are in the end round section of the horseshoe. Great view.
Anxiously waiting to reports is getting me all tense.....
What the hell was that!??!!?!
I don't know what combination of drugs you have to be on to stage what appeared tonight but it is the WORST most torturous thing i have evrr sat through. EVER! Tje actor playing Will is delightful and the only good in this production. Maybe you need to be high out of your mind to watch it. And the "dream ballet" what a freakin joke.
I would reccomend this to no one. Not even my worst enemy.
OKLAHOMA! O NO!
O_O Well then, wasn't expecting that. Can I ask what it was that was so bad about?
Really on the fence on seeing this so very interested in what mad you hate it so much.
Its all over the place time location. Performances are dull wooden like everyone is on prozac. Will and Mary Testa are great. I think they had a concept but just didnt want to explain their concept. Maybe it works for a warehouse in Brooklyn but it does not here. Sucked all feeling or anything out.
They wanted to go for edgy but comes off as high school students trying to be edgy just to be edgy.
The drug enduced dream ballet sealed its fate for me.
I knoe alot of people liked in at St Annes. I did not see it there but I have a feeling a lot of people wowing it perhaps are those that figure if they don't "get it" then it must be good.
I would never tell someone not to see something because different things ring different with all of us but I just couldn't reccomend it to people.
