SH*T. She means business.
So if Doubt is out around this time next year, will Meryl get two Golden Globe nominations, one for best actress in a Musical/Comedy, one for Drama?

I love Meryl, but she's such a role-hog.
I don't care if she's a role-hog, she's brilliant!
Can't wait to see her performances in both this and Mamma Mia.

Is imdb just really behind or have the other roles not been cast besides Meryl and Phillip?
No the movie is completely cast. Amy Adams is the sister with a lisp.
Hmm....I'm not entirely onboard with Meryl Streep as Sister Al, bit I'll keep my mind open.
I just saw the play about a month ago and local rep. company. It was phenomenal and a half.
She is going to blow us away. I can... not... wait.
Love it! She looks exactly like I would think Sister Aloysius would look. Now, is she one of the busiest actresses in Hollywood right now? Didn't she just finish doing MAMMA MIA! like a month ago? It's so fascinating how she can do this incredibly campy musical and then a few days later switch into this dramatic, complex role. That's one of the many reasons I love her.
MichaelBennett, if the movie is completely cast, do you know who is playing Mrs.Muller? Will Angela Bassett and Ms.Streep be sharing the camera again? (I'm a big MUSIC OF THE HEART fan).
Ray, I actually thought I'd heard that Adriene Lenox would be repeating her role for the movie, but I guess there hasn't been an official announcement, so perhaps that not's correct.

Cannot wait for, yes, The Devil Wears Puritan!
Viola Davis is playing Mrs. Muller.
Yo she looks pretty G
I think Meryl will be fabulous as Sister Aloysius. I saw "Doubt" on Broadway with Cherry Jones, and she took my breath away. I hope Meryl does the same...
Looks like they let the wrinkles out for this one.
Yay, Meryl! DIVE IN, girl.
I love that she'll have "Mamma Mia!" where she looks all "Greek Islands lovely" and "Doubt" where she looks like Ebeneezer Scrooge all in the same year!
She's a-Actin'!
this play gripped me both times i saw it. i am anxious for the film.
i only hope all the exposition i've heard they are trying to do with the exterior plotline doesn't ruin it for me.

Meryl will be brilliant.........
To the poster who wrote that Meryl is a role-hog..........what is she supposed to do? Turn down roles that are offered to her????
She looks great! I haven't seen the play yet, so I can't say how I feel about her in the role.
I have it from a good source that Streep was offered Mrs. Lovett in the "Sweeney Todd" film and turned it down. Wouldn't it be funny if she had played all three of these Broadway to film roles back to back?
Streep was indeed up for Lovett in the screen adaptation of SWEENEY..., but became unavailable due to filming conflicts with another project.
