I am so excited for this concert!!! What a fantastic cast! I agree that Messing should be cast as Amy as well. Mix all those great people together and the result is going to be freaking amazing!
I think Donna McKechnie should reprise her role as Kathy. I know, huge age difference, but it could work.

I am a bad parent. At first, I was a good parent, getting my three daughters, who are all huge fans of both NPH and Company, tickets to this production for Christmas. They were thrilled. Now that the additional cast has been announced, Colbert in particular, I find myself hoping that one of my daughters has a conflict that will prevent her from attending, and I will just have to go in her place.

Theatre gods nothing. It's all up to Patti LuPone. If she wants it recorded, it will get recorded.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
It didn't stop McKechnie doing "State Fair" on Broadway. She was 50 playing a woman of 25.
I really hope that they include the Tick Tock dance. It really is not productive to the show to cut it. Marta sings "Another Hundred People", April has the butterfly monologue and there really needs to be a solo moment for Kathy. When Tick Tock is cut, Kathy really becomes part of the scenery.

Per ATC, Christina Hendricks (of TV's Mad Men) will be playing April.
Perfect casting.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
^ It's not confirmed, but the poster over on ATC is usually reliable.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

If it follows the user's typical posting trend, expect an official announcement within the next day or two.

I would imagine there's an official announcement about the rest of the cast coming soon anyway.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

I should hope so, considering the concert's in two weeks and we still only know a handful of cast members.
Is Debra Messing still the rumor for Amy?
