Pink to Host the 2026 Tony Awards — Page 5

I wonder why Colbert never hosted the Tony’s before. Surely, he must have been asked at some point? I hope he still does it at some point. I’m wondering where the Tony’s are going to be next year, renew with CBS?

I don’t watch nor follow RuPaul’s Drag Race so based on his name I’m assuming they were part of that at some time and may be trying to inject themselves onto the Broadway bubble of sorts. I’m familiar with and admire JinkxMonsoon, Peppermint, and Bianca Del Rio so yes, I’m aware of their RuPaul’s Drag Race connection so I’d say they definitely crossed over successfully if I’m familiar with them and their work. Suggesting Bob the Drag Queen to host the Tony Awards would be like suggesting Jessica, the manager at Starbuck’s on Judson Street in Cleveland. They obviously have a niche audienceand have yet to cross over and enter the consciousness of the mainstream audiences like the 3 other artists I mentioned."
You are so stupid lol

What would we do without Sutton to correct someone's grammar? Truly, the savior of BroadwayWorld.

Is there a way to watch the ceremony via an illegal service or international coverage?
If not, I guess I'll just live vicariously through this year's Tony Awards megathread.

Adam Feldman points this out every year around this time too... "Tony's" is a contraction or possessive (depending on its use) and "Tonys" is a plural noun and should be used when referring to the awards.

It’ll be streamed online on Paramount+

Answering my own question about streaming the event outside of CBS platforms, try this third-party site with multiple HD servers, set to go live on Tony Sunday at 8 PM EST.

She is going to be great. She just exudes a generous spirit.
Pink on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Kelly Clarkson just taped her final episode this week. Wonder if she'll use the Tonys to finally announce she's taking over her show, or wait until Monday morning.

Pink taking over for Clarkson would be interesting. If Pink is done touring and she's taping in NYC, it could also spring board her and/or her daughter to Broadway.

1. P!nk is going to be amazing.
2. Even if she isn't, who cares? You'll still be getting 10+ performances to watch on YouTube or your favorite bar at showtunes night.
Everyone's a winner.

Since this thread kind of died, I think P!nk deserves a big round of applause. She knocked it out of the park and I appreciated her awareness and ability to poke fun at herself.
I would be totally fine with her hosting again next year.

I have to agree whole heartedly with the last poster! Pink was extraordinary.
As an older Broadway person who did not know who Pink was or why she was hosting the Tony's..Pink was amazing and impressive. From her opening moments as Peter Pan to her Moulin Rouge to one of the best Velma Kelly's I've ever seen-- she was indeed an amazing host and made this years Tony's one of the best in years
So much better than that dull as dishwater Ariana DuBose.
Can't believe I had not idea who she was before this.
I am also glad that tedious Lost Boys did not win best musical. I was so utterly bored except by the set which unfortunately you could not hum.
