Yes, you can't take what you see for availability on Telecharge and assume those are sold seats. Most are still probably being held back from sale.

CAMERON LOYAL!!!!
Blessed be.

Kerry!!! This may be short lived or horrible or whatever other choice words people want to throw in the orbit of this project but what fantastic casting. Excited to turn off my brain and let this show wash over me.

That's an incredibly small, thankless role for Kerry Butler.

And yet, she’ll still get to sing more in this than she did in MEAN GIRLS.

And she took the role so maybe it isn't small and thankless to her. JMO

It's a job and she's a working actor.

Clearly Kerry loves contemporary pop musical theater-always has, look at her resume-and this is right up her alley. She'll be great, and a whole new group of young fans will be introduced to her because of this.

What is the deal with rush / lottery?
This article has zero information about how to actually go about procuring tickets LOL

I have to imagine this will also be consolidated to the Telecharge Rush website, as it is playing a Shubert venue. The June previews are nearly sold out, so it makes perfect sense they’re starting lottery early July.
Has anyone here seen this production yet?

Haven't seen the show yet but I did just find this link. It gives the information in the second paragraph. Rush/lottery is through rush.telecharge.com. https://playbill.com/article/how-to-get-38-rush-lottery-tickets-to-heathers-off-broadway

Got to see the final preview and no one recognized the director was sitting at the back, Super guy and talked for a while. Said it is fun because there are certain parts were if you don’t know the movie it is fun to hear the gasps.
The show works so well in that theater. Voices are amazing, Heather is a mythic bitch.
Veronica and JD were great and had heat.
The supporting cast are amazing.
Go see it!
If you know the movie, what you want is there.
Was with someone who had not seen it and they loved the show on its own merits.

Hearing the reactions of people in the audience who don't know what's coming was the best part of the student production I saw last winter.

The audience for this was an absolute nightmare. We get you like a show. You may like a song, know a line. But to scream so you can let the audience know you know it more than them? Therapy seeking behavior. A shame, because there is a fun show in here.

This sounds horrendous.
Usually those types only occupy the first couple of previews of a show (I remember the reports out of early SWEENEY previews), guess this show isn't as lucky...

I'm sure the infamous BroadwayFlash (RIP) was there, screeching to the high heavens.

I’m shocked but not surprised. When tickets went on sale, the first week of previews or so almost immediately sold out like a Beyoncé concert, so I’d expect those audiences to be ridiculously extra, regardless of how wildly inappropriate it is.
Also, I was walking by last night between bars, and it looks like the “stage door” is the main entrance since the 49th street entrance is under repair. I will say it was very well controlled though.

This has been extended to January 25. Bit of a surprise, given most of its target audience heads back to school mid-late August, but I guess they want to hold on and rake in some big-time $$$ for the holidays?
HEATHERS is playing at Stage One, while …SPELLING BEE will take Stage Three at New World Stages.
Their opening night gala is today, and reviews drop on July 10.

Looks like the weekly schedule for the Fall cuts the Thursday matinee, and has instead 2 shows both Saturday & Sunday, running Wednesday to Monday, dark Tuesdays.
There are Friday matinees on Black Friday, December 26th, and January 2nd.

This isn't a production-specific question, but does New World Stages do bag checks? I'm picking up a bottle of wine in Manhattan that's a gift for a friend next week, and I'll have to keep it with me during the performance of HEATHERS that I'm seeing. I don't live in the city, so I won't have the chance to leave it somewhere.

Yes, they do have bag checks. Just put the bottle in a bag and you’ll be fine. They take a Quick look and that’s it.

Looks like the show is rolling out new key art:

The cartoon look is an awesome change of pace, but it's a bit grainy. I don't think their artwork has been this heavily revised since the 2018 Other Palace iteration.
