Yes, Scott for a week and Dave for a week. Then... ¯\_(?)_/¯
Is it definite that Dave will be on the 27th, whether or not that is the closing date? I'm looking at buying a ticket and if the closing show is soon (or just a Dave show in general), I'd like to get a ticket now."

If this is true then my tickets for the 20th would be Scott. On one hand if it's closing I'd like to see Dave, but I've seen him already and never seems scott

I have not heard anything on the subject; my comment was drawn entirely from your unsubtle hint which I continue to think was out of line, especially now that we know it was based on hearsay. I had no problem at all with your first post on this matter. I'm not trying to pick a fight either.

Why does it matter. We've heard all kinds of stuff from all kinds of posters. If he wants to reveal something that's up to him. If he doesn't he shouldn't have brought it up in the first place

Hogan, what is too much? What did I say? I said there was a missing piece.
It's not a question of cannot. It's a fact that I will not.
Saying it seems 'implausible' implies you've heard the same tale.
Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight or spread a false rumor. I was told what I was told. I shared that something else was at play. That is all.
I'm sorry you feel it was too much and irresponsible. That was not my intention. If you'd like to continue this conversation over PM, feel free. I'm going to refrain from speaking about the topic again on this thread.

The problem is that even if you don't say anything else, you've already said a lot. The most obvious thing that is going to be inferred by your Mamet clue is sexual harassment or something like that.

Everyone knew Oak was bought out and that Mandy would be coming in several days before it was announced.

To repeat: he was not bought out; he was fired. It is a distinction with a difference.

So all the talk about wanting him to come back in the Fall was just a blatant lie?

Don't Equity rules prevent actors from getting fired (unless they do something insane)?
I'm really looking forward to seeing the dateline-style documentary on this

I believe that's what Hogan is telling you.

I wrote that intentionally. As this all went down, everyone (else) at the Imperial was under the impression that he was bought out.

Is this something where we're going to hear what happened eventually? Or is it always going to be hush hush
Rarely does anything stay secret anymore.

No, Equity rules say an actor can be fired at any time but must be payed for the notice period (which in the case of a term contract is the term) (or such other amounts as are negotiated). "Just cause" only relates to whether there is a notice period.
ticket sales for comet pick up again in September. Once they announce the star who will play Pierre in the fall, who has been locked to do the role since before the mandy announcement even happened comes in, the show will gross 1m+ again. expect a close in January.

Uh... Everyone else? The ambiguity on this becomes more concerning with every post. If it's true that something egregious happened then it only raises more questions on why the situation within the show is being conducted the way it's been.
Two observations, mullein. First, rumor innuendo and gossip are cheap, and inherently distinguishable from fact. Second, people working on a show are often the last to know (without regard to the fact that they thrive on rumor innuendo and gossip).
Two other observations: First, there is a reason a person cannot be convicted based on hearsay. Second, everything you need to know about this subject you learned playing the telephone game in second grade.
One hunch: I think trpguyy basically has the correct current information with the huge caveat that the captain of the HMS Imperial is akin to a drunken sailor.

I guess it will all come out in the dirty laundry, or not. (I hope not, to be honest. The show deserves a decent burial, not more ugliness.)
I am confused about one thing, and I can't resist asking. There certainly is a difference between having your contract bought out because the producers want to bring in a big name and being fired. The latter seems a lot worse, unless everyone concludes that the people doing the firing were seriously out of line. Also, if he has been fired, why is Onaodowan still performing in the show? Is that normal?

Per usual, Hogan and his condescending tone are here to educate us.
"The captain of the HMS Imperial is akin to a drunken sailor" You jumped on others who said something similar.
Pot calling kettle black much?

I believe the captain in this is Kagan, whom Hogan has never defended, no?

So, this is as much as the cast knows? In which case, we probably won't hear about a closing date this week? (Want to go to the last show, and running around a lot this week, so I'm checking for an announcement all the time, like a crazy person, heh)
