Same here. I won't buy tickets without at least knowing who will play Frank. A lot of the names suggested in this thread would cause me to skip this.
Luke Evans is making his Broadway debut as Frank N Furter...front row seats STAT, please!!!!
I’m not disappointed by the casting but hardly excited by it, either.
All the posters stumping for a straight Frank are gonna be real disappointed when they find out Luke’s a homo.

As the first Broadway production in 25 years, Luke Evans as Frank is kind of a meh casting, curious who else ends up involved
Did everyone really think that little Tim was going to play Frank? Lukes casting is eh does not make me want to buy a ticket. This better be a crazy different Rocky Horror
Too bad Andre is doing Cats he would of been an amazing Narrator

His casting makes me a lot more interested in seeing this production. So they sold at least 1 more ticket . :)
Ugh. This is terribly unexciting and uninspired. I was hoping for casting that felt really special. I hope to be proven wrong - I'd love it if Luke turns out to be amazing - but I can't see it.
Luke as Frank makes me happy. Might be a little “safe” but compared to so many of the names thrown around here, this is more than ok with me. And 25 years ago, I’m sure if this board existed people would have complained Tom Hewitt or Terrence Mann were “uninspired” and they were brilliant and helped shape that magnificent revival.

You can't spell Frank N Furter without FF.

Frank being played by Luke shouldn't upset people. Frank can be played by straights, gay, bi, trans... It shouldn't matter. The role has been played by an assortment of actors of it's time.

frank-n-furter is a trsnsphobic stereotype, theres no argument abt that. cis people doing the role now feels like mockery. we live in a world that is increasingly hostile to trans people, it's not shocking that a lot of trans people don't really want a cis person to play this role at this point. for every semi-decent cis frank there's 500 horrendous ones. i can think of maybe one cis actor who i've seen do frank past curry who i didn't find to be offensive or just out of touch in one way or another
Frank isn’t trans. He’s a bisexual transvestite. That’s how the character is written.

All of those would have more novelty value, at least.
