I am so happy for all 10 performers (and the 4 ladies in waiting of course too) that they got their own recording..

I had to remove it from my Apple Music Library and search for it again to get it to load for me.
Jumping around and listening to a bunch of stuff, but it's fabulous so far! It's great to finally get MegaSIX (which sounds amazing) and the alternates' Heart of Stone, which I'm listening to right now is easily the best version I've ever heard of it. It's incredible and I'm so glad they got to be featured!

No wearing yellow to a funeral
But seriously this is so good all around.

I was really hoping there would be more dialogue. The banter between the songs is so fun! But I very much appreciate that when tracking the show they split the dialogue they did include from the actual song - makes it better for when you're just jumping around.
Just finished it. WOW! They were so smart to record this live. You can just feel the energy of them feeding off the audience. Abby's Heart of Stone is the stand out song for me. I didn't even realize I was crying listening to it at first.
The only omission I kinda wish has been there is, of course, Wearing Yellow to a Funeral, but I get it. Gotta leave a little something to the imagination to get people to come see the show. But overall, gosh what a perfect cast recording! I dare say it even elevates the music to a new level hearing the raw emotion in a few of the numbers that was not there in the studio recording

It's kind of funny/odd they left the "Wait, I don't get it" dialogue at the end of "I don't need your love". It makes me want to hear more dialogue, including the hilarious "Everyone notices Jane can't dance!".
Anna’s “I don’t need your love” steals it for me.
I know it’s very polarizing, but I really hope they win Best Score.
Excellent recording. I love this show so much. Im really hoping for a Best Score/Best Musical wins for them.

I've seen SIX twice (the 2019 Chicago run and here in NY) but damn it this recording is really persuading me to go again soon! I love that this recording captures how fun the show is.
This is SUCH a great recording. I really hope it wins best Original Score as well.
Little did I know that as I was eating at a Midtown pizzeria on the afternoon of August 1, 2019 (when we first learned SIX was coming to Broadway), the show would eventually become one of my favorite scores in a while.
The album is incredibly well-produced and the ladies kick some serious butt. Does anyone know if any of them have absolute pitch? I mean that as a compliment, they all sound so good!
Also, a closer listen at some of these lyrics are making me chuckle time and time again. Brilliant writing, Marlow and Moss!
I remember talking to my friend who is a stage manager saying "I really hope Six comes to Broadway" and he says " Girl, thats gonna be a VERY hard show to sell".
And look at us now

I remember starting the SIX thread and suggesting it would be a good fit for off-Broadway. Little did I know!

I saw it with an understudy in for Abby a few months back (Mallory - she was fantastic), and I didn’t realize what I was missing out on.
Listening now and LOVING it. This score is fantastic and the live recording aspect for this one was an excellent decision.

Malliory is the first up on the alternate track. Having seen Abby, Mallory, Keirsten and now Keri who has been there the last two months, All are fantastic in the part...and IMO you get 100% no matter who you see. JMHO.

We all know they are going to do the Ex-Wives / Six mashup at the Tony's, but could you imagine if they did that version of the Alternates Heart of Stone? Oof, what a great performance that would be.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, that was not meant in any way as a slight to Mallory. She was incredible and I didn’t feel like I was getting anything less by seeing her in the role. Just an observation on how good Abby’s Heart of Stone is after hearing it for the first time.
I’m so glad to hear such overwhelming praise for this album, but I believe it never felt official until we heard from Mr. Gyllenhaal on this thread.
CatsNYRevival and bwayphreak234 are also very active on the Broadway Cast Recording threads and are both reliable sources…
Amazing album!!! The cast really shines here, so happy for them. I hope this wins them all Grammys.
This may have been covered elsewhere, but... if anyone is willing to share, what's happening on stage in 'Get Down' during that mid-song pause and cheering?

The actress playing Anna of Cleves gets her costume ripped off by the other queens, which reveals a different costume underneath.
Or as YvanEhtNioj put it in the previews thread, “When [Cleves] sings ‘Get Down’ and says, ‘as he takes my fur…’ the girls loudly gasp and rip off her shorts and jacket - revealing an S&Mish looking blinged out body suit.”
