So this was your hissyfit instead? The funny thing is that I'm certain you count me among the "Audra Stans," so I don't really trust your interpretation of things.

I made a comment that you were the only one who had an issue with. Now you are trying to make something more out of it.

I don't really count you as anything. I have never paid attention to your posts and I really don't care if you are a "stan" or not. As far as you not trusting my interpretation of things? Again that doesn't bother me.

That seems to happen a lot, particularly with ALW's shows. There are cuts, alterations, in previews, during the run itself, sometimes even near the end of the run. I remember seeing The Woman in White three times and every one of them had changes (far more dramatic than the one you're mentioning here, in that case where the whole finale was changed) even a month out before it was closing.

The only alteration to this new recording that bothers me is cutting the reprise of "we don't need a crowded ballroom" that Norma sings at the end of "the Perfect Year". I happened to see a boot somewhere (!) where Nicole sang it, and I can see why dramatically they might have done it, but musically it feels too abrupt and Nicole so nailed it that it seems a shame that they did that.



Speaking of "The Perfect Year" - since Nicole and Tom are both nominated for Best Actress/Actors in this years Tony's - maybe they would perform that on the telecast instead of With One Look or As If We Never Said Goodbye?

They give each show such a ridiculous short time I don't know if a medley would be possible. And as much as I'd love to see Tom do that, I'd imagine they want to do something different from the Olivier's - that's why I thought The Perfect Year might be, well, perfect :)
