i saw ave q once and after the first act jen barnhart went in for stephanie - they made an announcement right before the second act started - but having to leave part way thru - that's got to be confusing and shoshana must have been feeling pretty bad!! hope she feels better!

when i was an understudy i would often have to go on in the middle a show. it happens. at least Shoshana TRIED to go on...if she was just OUT people would have gotten upset with her for being out too. its really a no win situation. i feel for her. i am SURE that she is mortified to be missing her last shows..hopefully she will be better by tomorrow to say good bye...as i have said before..it is heartbreaking to have to miss a show and its especially heartbreaking to be missing your last shows..she doesn't want to be remembered this way, i'm sure.
please try to be kind. she has been extremely disciplined and has really not missed THAT many shows considering what she does in the show..i am amazed that any of them can do a two show day and finish the week! those roles are incredibly demanding. maybe some flu is going around the cast if so many people are out at one time.

Ahh! It's a curse. - Yeah, probably some flu is going around the cast. I'll bet they didn't make an announcement so that the flow of the show wasn't disturbed.

"Maybe shell do her final show in a blue track suit, to switch it up a little."
MyManCape, that was the funniest thing I've read on this board today!
Seems as though the curse continues....

I better get a damn emotional For Good tomorrow. And ShoBean better be there. Or else I'll cry. But I'd take Shoshana in a blue tracksuit than not at all, fo sho.
Sorry.. with all the lame innuendos, it's just too easy.
Anyways, did Saycon do good, on the bright side of the matter?

If she wise, and I'm sure she is, she'll be loading up on meds and tea tonight, not saying a word, sleeping, that way she can do her last show tomorrow. What a shame that these women don't get to see their last night. This poor girl has been sick since Oct. when she was on Martha Stewart. Hopefully Eden will pace herself better. She did several months of "Brooklyn" and that score must have been hard on her voice, and she still managed to maintain. So, here's to both Shoshana and Eden. Wish I could be there tomorrow and Tues. Oh, well...

that sucks. what a sweetheart, to try to do a show even when you're really sick because you know fans are to see one of your final performances.
I'm really upset I never got to see Sho as Elphie. sigh.
Feel better, Sho!

Hey, Blue J, who are those girls in your avatar? I know they're from The Color Purple, cause of the backround, but I haven't really looked into the musical very much.
I was in NYC in September, and I was in that Japanese restaurant across from the Gershwin, before the show. These two black girls sat at the table beside us and they totally started singing randomly. I didn't want to eavesdrop, but they sounded really good so I presumed they were in Hairspray.. but I just think that it's quite possible it could've been the girls in your picture.
...And that's the random story of the day. Sorry X_X

This is now going to completely cause all of the "curse" rumors to go so far! It is really freaky though. At least there were no trap door fiascos
