Of course! Last I heard it was supposed to arrive in 2022, but I was wondering what theatre it might land at.

the playwright's insufferability is totally fine with me-- i dont have to hang out with him-- and is often par for the course with many great minds/talents, but the play itself was just.... i wanted to like it and i came so close to liking it, but the desire to SHOCK got the best of him. brilliant performances tho.
and kudos to whoever pointed out above that if it couldn't fill a (smaller?) theater in 2019, seems silly to think it would be able to now. but then maybe kudos to the producers for getting it up regardless.
This show made no money, so weird it's coming back. It wasn't selling out every night or anything and it definitely did not recoup.
Both the show and its creator are insufferable.
The show was incredible. I'm so glad it's coming back.

I know around the time of the HamilFilm release last year, Jeremy was on social media saying he wouldn’t agree to film Slave Play without getting a similar deal (monetarily). That…doesn’t seem possible but perhaps HBO worked something out as part of his overall deal with them?
Hahahahaha. Yeah, because he was paid 70 million dollars for Slave Play.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Obviously I didn’t mean he got that kind of money lol I meant maybe someone at HBO was able to convince him to film the show for the network.
Yeah, because it was technically a flop so that wouldn't make any sense. Nothing has been announced that it's getting filmed though, so I will wait for that official announcement to actually believe it.

Well yeah, it returning at all doesn’t seem to make any sense.
Nothing is official and I doubt they can fill the AW nightly.
If they couldn’t fill the f’in Golden pre-Covid, they sure ain’t filling the August Wilson post-Covid.

Maybe they could fill it with Jeremy O Harris’ ego.

I see the title so I know Slave Play is not going to Circle in the Square, just a curiosity question. For those who have seen it, could it work in Circle In The Square? I know some basic elements of the play but not enough. I’m just curious if this one could work in the round.
LOLOL - they’d need to book MSG!
Maybe NASA can arrange a portion of the universe.

If you search Slave Play on SeatGeek there’s one 2pm show for 11/26 at Radio City Music Hall. Odd.

Interesting that Harris wants top dollar for himself but is always grandstanding about how theatre needs to be accessible. He wants cheap and free tickets for people and wants to squash the capitalism of theatre. Does he not realize that one doesn’t get top dollar if the patrons aren’t paying for it. At this point he’s so entitled he doesn’t even know how things work. He’s used to all the fashion freebies he gets from rubbing elbows with Madonna and the like. He’s disconnected from reality.

One of the production's gimmicks is that there's a giant wall of mirrors reflecting the audience back at itself. It would be hard to replicate that effect in the round, if they were so inclined.

If you search ‘slave play’ on seat geek on iOS (eg ipad, etc), it shows performances from November 23- January 23 at the Wilson

I guess Funny Girl won't be at the AW?
Funny Girl isn't supposed to start previews until April. This has no effect on that.

I believe Funny Girl starts previews sometime in April. Definitely possible as long as Slave Play doesn’t extend
