Presale starts tomorrow at 11am, nobody has the code yet. Sign up on their website to receive it."

This cast is a total snooze. I bet Cooley will be great, but he will sell approximately one ticket. At a discount."
Agreed.

Interesting. No dates from 12/15 - 01/05 .... I wonder if they are taking a holiday break? or those shows just aren't available as part of the pre-sale ???

I hadn’t realized this would be the 20th anniversary of the show. Feeling old today.

I’m nauseous.
I like that they have a Thursday matinee the week I will be in town. But the prices... oof Bwy pricing for off-Bwy. I'll watch for discounts &/or audience rewards seats.

From the seat map it looks like the same theater where Avenue Q was off-bway. Row A isn't too close but then again I prefer to be close lol. The stage isn't that high and row A used to be the rush seats for Avenue Q (great deal at $20 back then.)

I'm not sure where you're seeing prices and the weekly schedule. Are tickets already on sale?

Bizarre if they'd take a hiatus during the winter holiday peak.
Also loving the Thursday matinees!!

So glad that Kevin McHale is doing the show. I thought he was exceptional in DC. I'm sure Justin Cooley will be great as Coneybear, but I'm sorry that Noah Galvin isn't continuing because he and Nina White, who I'm guessing is doing Queen of Versailles, were the other two stand outs at the Kennedy Center.

Jordan Tyson would be a fabulous Olive, though maybe she wants to be finished doing roles associated with teens/children.

I know a lot of people have been talking about the pricing but the first four rows are $154. If I’m gonna be there literally the first week after it opens should I just buy it now or hold off for a discount
I think $154 for off-Bwy is too much.
Not 100% comparable, but I think it should be closer to what you would pay for something at one of the non-Profits. A regular seat for a new musical at The Public is $115, with student tickets available for $40. The Atlantic, NYTW, & Lincoln Center all have similar programs with lower priced tickets for young people.
I'm an old forgey and can't access those options, but for this I'm still watching for discounts or promotions on TodayTix etc.

That's really not bad for theater in New York. New World Stages will get a boost with both this and Heathers playing during the holidays. There haven't been any discounts for Heathers and it's selling incredibly well, so I expect the same for this show. The days of plentiful discounts are over.

UPDATE: Those holiday weeks are now available so I'm thinking either a glitch or just holding them back until the last few hours of presale - regardless ...... booked! :)
If you wanna see the show, 154$ seems fairly reasonable. Everything is so expensive I'd gladly pay that to see a swell show. Just last week, I started the early stages of planning my yearly trip to New York over Thanksgiving and I simply can't justify it. Chess and Ragtime tickets are really too high for me to be able to afford it anymore. Our last trip we paid about 200-250$ a ticket for standard seats. For years we were able to get ample discounts for buying so far in advance but that trend has been gone for some time. 250$ felt like the absolute max I could stomach but the types of seats would normally sit in start at 271$ for Ragtime and over 300$ for Chess.
Because of my schedule, my dates are fixed and my husband is visually impaired so sitting in the first 10-12 rows our so is essential but we don't mind sitting on the side (sometimes FAR side) and that's just no longer possible.. It's not reasonable for me and I'd imagine not reasonable for a lot of folk. I understand that's the way it is... I'm just not sure how you can sustain that model for out-of-town folk long-term. I'm not sure how you build and sustain a Broadway audience outside of New York.

This is a convo for another thread in re: industry ticket pricing, but the bottom line is that everything in the USA is more expensive, and our wages are not keeping up with it. We don't need to rehash "why is it expensive?" for the hundredth time in a show-specific thread.
If you contact Telecharge/BroadwayDirect/ATG, are they able to offer accessible tickets for the visually impaired at non-premium pricing?
