You dont like that art? I think it's terrif--and FUNNY...of course, you'd need to know the show a bit to get it

It is not AI. They said it's by an artist known as Goodog, and a quick check of that artist's instagram shows they're a 3D motion graphics artist.
And I think it's adorable! A new spin on the OG art which was made out of clay.

I stand corrected. I do like it, it just gave the impression of being AI by looking a bit too perfect. Call me “AI’d out”.

Jasmine Amy Rogers is Olive Ostrovsky. Perfect casting, no notes.

Jasmine strikes me as more of a Rona Lisa than an Olive, but either way I'm THRILLED to have her back on stage so soon.

Olive feels like such a departure from Betty Boop, but showing this kind of range this early in her career can’t do anything but strengthen it. Good for her.

I feel like she just has too much star power to be in an ensemble show like this. But either way she's gonna slay it.

agree. Jasmine is more of a Rona. Wills he look young enough?
Manuel will be a great Mitch !! Who is Rona?

Nobody’s talking about the sneaky good casting of Autumn Best. She gave the best (heh) acting performance of “Woman of the Hour” and has stage experience too. Also, disabled representation is always a plus.
Rogers signing on unofficially confirms Nina White is continuing with QUEEN OF VERSAILLES, for which she got some good notices in Boston.

Jasmine has so much panache and spunk that it's hard for me to imagine her as Olive but I'm sure she will be great.

I cannot get excited for this cast on paper, but there should be plenty of discounts and hopefully will be a solid production.

Really no offense intended, but they definitely went through several unsigned contracts before they landed on this final bit of casting.

I had heard they were in talks with Jeff Hiller for Panch, who would’ve been truly perfect. And it’s a major bummer Bonnie Milligan isn’t continuing.

I really feel like Cooper makes more sense as Olive and Rogers makes more sense as Rona, so I'll be very curious to see how they embody their actual roles.

Age wise, neither of them makes sense for each other’s roles. They’re both great actors, I’m sure they fit their respective role perfectly.

Well this is just one of the best things in all of New York City. It’s just as great as it was at the Kennedy Center and Jasmine Amy Rogers and Justin Cooley solidify themselves as two of the best musical theater actors working today. But really, the entire cast is pitch perfect and it’s an absolute joy from start to finish. I noticed quite a few empty seats tonight which there shouldn’t be. This should be sold out every night.

It won’t be because nobody’s interested. There’s no buzz, people are indifferent. It’s probably because every high school, community theater, regional theater has done it, so everyone’s seen it. I’m waiting for it to be papered along with Queens, Archduke, and Practice.

As someone noted earlier in the thread, many people want a feel good musical and this fits the bill for an enjoyable night out.
I think it has potential to pick up some steam and do well. Tickets are relatively reasonable compared to a lot of other options.
And we've certainly seen examples of other shows that have played everywhere, but can still draw an audience in NYC such as the current Little Shop of Horrors production.

Has anyone tried their online lottery? I find it odd you can't enter until 11am the day of a show, even when they have a matinee. When do they do their drawings? I want to enter for tomorrow's matinee, but I'm curious how quickly they do the drawing for the matinees.

Are you thinking of the digital rush? It opens 11am on the day of the show and it'll tell you right away if you get tickets. I had friends that did it this past weekend and said it was pretty easy to get two tickets to the evening show right at 11am.
