A woman named Francis?
That's wrong.
(OK, people. Francis is a guy's name. Frances is a girl's name.)

Posted: 2/12/07 at 11:12pmahh, after checking the site I see now that it IS Frances and not Francis. that explains it! lol

This might sound like a odd question but does anybody know if there are any loud sound affects in the show becuse I read that someone shoots himselfs and I was wondering if there is any sound affects when this happens.
sorry if this the wrong place to put this.

If I remember correctly, the gun never really goes off or makes a sound...the suicide is just suggested. I can't think of any loud effects....

Posted: 2/13/07 at 9:03pmThanks, The reason I was asking, was I was thinking about going to see it when I go to new york in april but I have really senstive ears so if there were any loud sound affects than I probably turned me away from it.

knowing other people are going soon makes me happy
hehe. Have fun guysss! And if you want to afterwards, reviews are always awesome!!
and yeah
*SPOILER*
there's no loud sound effects in the show- which I actually thought was EXTREMELY effective. Durring the whole part right before Moritz's suicide I was preparing myself for a loud gunshot, but somehow the lack of one, and the way it just went to black made it so much more poignant. I think its because if there had been a gunshot, the shock of the gunshot would have taken away from the emotion of the scene. So since there was none, you were just left feeling all the sadness and darkness that he's feeling at that time. So yeah, I loved that! That whole scene is SO well done. The lighting too makes it so poignant.

Posted: 2/16/07 at 12:42pmHas anybody seen this week's Broadway Beat? Spring Awakening is in it from when they were in The Drama League's 22nd Annual Benefit Gala. They sing in it a version of The Song of Purple Summer, with different lyrics & awesome different harmonies. It's a small clip. I must say they sound absolutely gorgeous! The clip is after the host is talking about the actual event, which is after the Broadway Bears 10 segment.
