I didn't know Hannah Shankman joined the cast! I saw her in RENT on tour as one of the ensemble/Maureen u/s tracks (basically the girl who Maureen frenches during La Vie Boheme) and thought that she looked like a younger Shoshana Bean at stage door.
Good Morning, Starshines! WOW so I went to see this INCREDIBLE show this weekend! What an experience! Everyone was there (Will, Gavin, Sasha, Allison, Caissie, Darius, Bryce, and Kacie). The only shakeups were Arbender Robinson and Chasten Harmon went on and Nicole Lewis went on as Abe Lincoln. I sat right stage Row B on isle so everyone passed by us. Swenson chose me as the money seat! He is GEORGEOUS and AMAZING and I agree he was ABSOLUTLY ROBBED @ the Tony?s! I didn't expect him to choose me, so for a second there I was like OOOHHHH SHHHIIIITTTTT! but it was cool. He's hilarious! Gavin is ADORABLE and Sasha is STUNNING and sings the SSHHIIITTTT out of "Aquarius"! Everyone in the cast is absolutely beautiful and sounded INCREDIBLE!!! I LLLOOOVVVEEE shows with this much energy! My friend I was with never stagedoored before, so I took her to where everyone exited and got our playbills signed (except for Sasha and Allison... unless they came out after we left... I'm not sure) I have to say that I'm so proud to have seen this show WITH THIS CAST!! But I'll close here because I'm assuming ya'll get the general idea.... GO SEE THE DAMN SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has Hair BEEN on Tkts? (Just asking, I never check.)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Yes, it's been on the board, but I think only weeknights. Fridays and weekends usually sell out, I believe, so they don't go up (as per what a TKTS person told us one Sunday).

"Even I think that's hot, and I'm a straight guy. If I ever become gay he is the reason." - Drunk Chita Rivera on Gavin Creel

Well this past weekend it was up at 30/40% for all performances. Just wondering where the tickets would be? Also do the box office usually do any day of deals?
nice to see the three new swings working already(Matt, Hannah & Arbender). Can't wait to watch their performance on The View.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Usually the bo only sells for full price...but you'd have to ask. They will never OFFER the info, but will give it to you if you ask.
Discount codes are available...but you can't guarantee that they will have any tix still available the day of.

So I was lucky enough to win lotto and see the craziness that was the show last night. I saw someone posted the cast board, but it was a little crazier than that. The video Andrew tweeted explains it better than I can, though, so go watch that if you haven't yet ( http://www.twitvid.com/C1A87 ).
First off, to the cast's credit, if you never saw the show before you would have no idea of all the cast craziness, aside from the u/s slips. Even with cutting a tribe track, everything was covered, and I overheard people during intermission talking about how great the understudies were.
So I loved Nicole Lewis as Sheila. Her voice really surprised me, having seen her elsewhere, I didn't know it was so strong. It was also nice hearing Sheila's songs sung somewhat differently- I also love Jackie's Sheila, but she sounds a lot like Caissie, so hearing Nicole was a nice change. Her voice is a little deeper and more...soulful, I guess, than Caissie and Jackie's voices. I liked her acting choices, although some lines were a little rushed. But overall, loved her Sheila, and hope she goes on again. Oh, and since people probably want to know, she has the same costumes as the other Sheilas, from what I could tell, except her crocheted jacket is short sleeved, and her be-in dress is cream/light yellow/light orange. She had a long, dark wig on, also.
I've seen Steel as Berger before, and still like him, although he was crazier than the last times I saw him. I had liked that his Berger was a little more serious than Will's, but yesterday it seemed like he was going more for laughs. Oh well. Still has a great voice, love his Donna.
First time seeing Kaitlin as Crissy, she did a really good job with Frank Mills, but she didn't quite stand out from the rest of the tribe except when the spotlight was on her. I felt the same way about Briana, though, so it's probably just that the part really doesn't do much, and Allison Case is awesome in that you just can't help but notice her in the background. lol. Kaitlin's Crissy also comes off not quite as innocent and out of it as Allison's Crissy, which is not necessarily a bad thing. She has a great voice, so it was nice to hear it. Had the same costumes as Allison, her hair was her normal hair with the daisies.
So...I'm really not supposed to be typing this up at work, so here's just some randomness that I remember:
Amusing Black Boys/White Boys since the trios were Megan R, Hannah, and Lauren for Black Boys, and Sasha, Maya, and Chasten for White Boys.
Kaitlin and Nicole didn't run after Megan L. when it looks like she's going to fall off the stage during Give Up All Desires quick enough, so Bryce ran after her.
Gavin hit some awesome notes during I Got Life.
Have they permanently cut throwing Claude in the air a couple times before 3-5-0-0? I noticed it the last time, but don't know if it's just because they had understudies on as the people catching. One of the shows I saw they almost dropped Gavin, so I can see why it would be cut.
Chasten was a nice Abe Lincoln, but I prefer Saycon.
Saycon's replacement seems to be Krystal Brown, and she apparently starts rehearsals on Tuesday.
The lights for curtain call didn't come up on time, so the cast was just standing there in darkness for a bit.
Saw Megan L. dancing with her son on the band platform during the finale, that was adorable.
And really should go do something productive now. Will answer questions if there are any. Sorry my thoughts were kinda scattered.
Krystal Brown?!?!?!?! She was my Mimi 3 years ago, she is awesome!! So she'll be the new Abraham Lincoln? When does this happen, I would kill to see her.
"There's nothing good on. The media hates Christmas. The media loves vampires, though. Maybe they will show a Twilight Christmas." -Danmeg's 10 year old son.
Thanks for the review! It sounds like it really was an awesome show!! I love this entire cast. Everyone is just so great that I really wouldn't mind to see any u/s when I would go.
I'm so excited about the performance at the view! I can't wait. Somebody better put it on youtube xD

More video of the LA cast from 1969! There's also video of Easy to Be Hard somewhere, from the same show. Nowadays, what tv program would give a musical over 10 minutes to perform?
Is Saycon already gone for good?? I had no idea she was even leaving lol
