You seemed so concerned about my wherabouts since you posted it many times on this thread....and now you are nowhere to be seen.....so strange (weird in fact) that folks send messages asking where you are then disappear into the sunset never to be seen again.....
Just me asking....the old skool "shill", in case you forgot. :-)

Well now Jordan is in the ICU, recovering from this sick burn.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."
Yeah, doctors say that kind of burn can ruin a person. I’m not sure how I’ll recover. Maybe i need Jesus inside of me or whatever Tammy Faye sings about. bway1430 please ask your boss at the show if a cast recording is coming or if it’ll join Elton’s other notorious Palace flop “Lestat”, as another show we’ll never get to hear a professionally recorded score fill our holes (or whatever Tammy says) with the seed of Jesus (or whatever Tammy says).

I asked them and they said yes, there will be a cast recording, a motion picture, a television spin-off and a board game but all of the above will only be accessable to those who are willing to bow down to an effigy of Tammy Faye while amusing themselves to "Crocodile Rock".
I'll let you know where and when you can sign up once details are available.
Is anyone else seeing the Tammy Faye logo on the BroadwayWorld logo at the top of the page again? It's not opening again, is it? (Which feels vaguely like a threat.) 😂

No phone game, holiday advent calendar, or scratch-off lottery tickets? How lame.
So the numbers for week ending 11/17 are in. The figures for Tammy Faye aren't much better other than attendance has increased by 4.34%. The show made $9,975 less than the previous week. Most likely this is because of many comp tickets/discounts given on opening night. I'm curious how long they can continue with the figures showing little improvement. I'm sure the dreadful reviews from NYT, Variety and the majority of media outlets hasn't helped with ticket sales. It's doubtful things will improve in the upcoming weeks. There are many rumors online that Tammy Faye will be closing soon. Has anything been confirmed yet?

Ah that’s a bummer. Would have loved to see it again with that cast!
An unfocused mess with a number of issues, probably the worst of them being that I don't think this show either knows or cares to know the inner life of Tammy Faye. Brayben is putting in as committed and textured a performance as she possibly can, but because the book is so busy with plotting and secondary characters and so fragmented in tone, Tammy herself just kind of gets punted along from scene to scene, and no coherent portrait develops.
The satire and commentary is extremely shallow, mostly limited to things like "televangelists are wacky", "politicians are liars", "they sure were sexist", and "it's funny when they say things that sound gay". I also find it really questionable that Jessica Hahn's nightmarish rape is portrayed as a regrettable doe-eyed fling, which suggests that the writers don't believe her testimony.
Tammy herself was camp, but prosperity gospel and christofascism are both tragic and frightening, and it would take much sharper teeth to make something out of this show's subject. I do think that the creators just didn't really grasp the weight of the material, and are probably not aware of how much of this satire feels second-hand.
The score isn't amazing. There are some decent melodic hooks ("the light of the world is electric" is a good riff) but the songs struggle to develop, either musically or lyrically. A lot of the numbers have that "there should be a song here I guess" feeling, and don't provide much insight. There is one great line, though, which goes something like "if you came to see me cry, maybe you should ask yourselves why", which hints at an interesting aspect of the Tammy Faye character that the show basically ignores otherwise.
Not much to say about the physical production, except that it was really funny when they would do a big-screen projection and one of the jutting boxes split their face, so their eyes looked really far apart. The big wall moving forwards and backwards was kind of interesting, but also underutilized. I feel like that could've been put to use as an element of menace.
Also, it's been a while since I've seen someone as miscast as Borle. I love him in other roles, but he looks so uncomfortable up there.

Huh. There’s definitive answers from both sides. And from a cast member saying yes it is transferring on a different forum."
Talk is cheap; talk on an Internet message board, even cheaper. You're not going to have a "definitive" answer until there's an official announcement, or not.

I’ve heard fundraising was being attempted, but Ragtime no longer happening.

That's so disappointing. The one good thing to come out of Tammy closing so early was the thought of Ragtime getting to step in.
I feel bad for Katie B. She really was giving her all.
Can confirm Ragtime transfer is no longer happening. Too short a runway to be economically viable. Shame they couldn’t get the concert out, in that case.
I saw Autumn’s Tammy Faye tonight and she should’ve opened the show. Would it have made the actual material better? Probably not. But she NAILS the role in so many more ways than Katie ever could - from the accent, to the mannerisms, to finally lending a bit more camp to the role and reducing the “aw, shucks” earnestness.
During “Empty Hands” and “If You Came To See Me Cry”, she was so much more believable as the wounded wife and survivor, the latter earning her a raucous standing ovation.
If you have a chance to go back, Autumn is definitely the one to see. Of the three times I’ve see it, THIS audience had the best energy and received the show very well.
….oh, and Judith Light was there and we chatted and started geeking out over “Maybe Happy Ending”, which we both happened to see that afternoon.

These are the numbers for Tammy Faye at The Palace and they are defintely not good for the week ending 11/24. The figures seem to have DRASTICALLY dropped compared to last week. Attendance is down over 22% leaving the theater only 40% full! The show made $56,457 less than last week!
I can't even imagine how awful it must be for the poor performers night after night performing to an empty house. Very depressing. The show has announced the final performance will be on Dec. 8. Last week they announce it was closing only FIVE DAYS after it had it's big opening night event. I read in the New York Post that Elton John and investors in the Tammy Faye Musical lost a whopping $25,000,000!!!! That's insane.
