Judging from the design presentation today, the show is going to be absolutely massive in scale and physical production
It really seems like Nederlander is trying to replicate the success that Great Gatsby is having. Big spectacle musical, broadway stars in the principle roles, very active fan forward social media accounts, close the balcony and sell less seats per performance. Sounds promising so far, I like what I see.

Is the back wall still made up of hundreds of boxes/tv screens?

I know they're upscaling everything for a bigger Broadway house and hopefully that will make a difference for people sitting in those areas."
They have closed the balcony for all performances. It's either Orchestra or Mezz now.
Autumn is going on as Tammy on Sunday evenings. VERY excited to see her in this role!

I saw Tammy Faye at the Almeida in London and loved it. I don't mind the departure of Andrew Rannells, although he was good. I'm thrilled that Katie Brayben will be reprising her role as Tammy. One of the best performances in the original was Zubin Varla, who won an Olivier Award as Jerry Falwell. He also has my favorite song in the show. Michael Cerveris should be able to do the role justice, but I hope they don't cut Falwell's songs.
The Almeida production is genuinely one of my favourite theatre-going experiences ever. Borle and Cerveris are PHENOMENAL casting, although I loved Rannells and Varla in London. I'm just so desperate for the eventual cast album, I've been waiting very patiently!

The production has opened up balcony ticket sales - for the first preview only - Saturday, October 19.
On Wednesday 23rd October, there are 2 seats for sale in the balcony. Just 2 tickets next to each other.
Very random. If you want the entire balcony to yourself, this is your chance. If someone buys them, they might get a free upgrade to the Mezz
I noticed that as well, I wonder if it was a glitch
Finn Ross, the projection designer, was teasing something big for Tammy Faye. Playbill did an article interviewing him. He said he didn’t want to give anything away. He talked about Betty Boop though.

Is she only doing Sunday evenings? I was looking for an official alternate schedule but couldn’t find anything.
Is anyone going to the first preview?
I'm looking forward to reading anyone's thoughts on the show.
On Monday they're releasing a song from the show. This was the big number that ended Act 1 in the London production.

I agree. The song is set up so well. In fact, the whole of Act 1 leads to this specific moment, so I'm kinda surprised this was was the song they went with. But it is a great song and Katie Brayben delivers. Like you said, will it work out of context? I can't wait to see it
First song released.
“Empty Hands”
I love West End shows because they are always so tech focused. Can't wait to hear how massive this show is.
Wow! Sounds very Elton John. Great performance. I'm seeing this the night after I see Sunset Blvd. Hoping it's great, and not just campy.

This show REALLY needs to do something drastic, and quickly, to address these preview sales. I'm actually very excited for this, but the sell through for even the first week, is atrociously low.
There needs to be a box office rush/flash sale of some sort, to amp up sales, or this cast is going to be playing to some near non-existent crowds by preview #3.

Funny headline because he's positive on the show and it has his blessing!
