I use the free WhatsApp app to make free international calls whenever I’m outside of the USA. Only catch is you need to be connected to WiFi, which is everywhere these days. Even in public areas.

Oh WhatsApp is great, too. But that plan I mentioned let’s me use the internet on my phone and incur no additional charges as well. I was just saying for a normal cell phone plan, international calling isn’t free. Also I *think* you can use FaceTime to make free international calls.

If you bought them on Telecharge, you should still be able to do a self-service refund on the site. It says the cutoff is at 48 hours, but the refund button has been active until the day of.

The refund option isn't showing up for me on my Telecharge order page. I wonder if that option isn't available any longer. I guess I have to call tomorrow.

I noticed that, too. For some reason, I’ve seen the refund button get taken off, only to reappear later. In any event, the option is still available if you call them, which I just had to do this morning.

Had a great time at The Music Man last night - we've had these tickets since Fall 2019! It's hard to not be smiling throughout the show - so many songs that I haven't heard in awhile and everyone on stage is clearly having a blast. The kids - so many making their debuts - are excellent and the barbershop quartet men are hysterical. Hugh Jackman is as charming as ever, I've never seen him on Broadway before but did catch his solo show pre-covid. He is a true entertainer! It was wonderful seeing Sutton again - haven't seen her on stage since Violet I believe and I have worn out Shrek on Netflix by now. I feel the Marcellus role was under-utilized, felt like he used to be a bigger role but Shuler Hensley does a nice job. Jefferson Mays makes Mayor Shinn more memorable than I could recall. I'm bummed so many on the board have not enjoyed this production so far. Is it worth a $200 ticket? No but I don't think anything really is. My wife had never seen The Music Man and she enjoyed it a lot (she loves Sutton Foster). You cannot help but leave the theater singing and humming the songs!

Saw this Wednesday evening from center orchestra after rushing....and I absolutely loved it! This show was set up for me to *not* enjoy it - I mostly go for modern, original musicals, especially ones that have a high song count. I also appreciate a hefty plot (TMM plot is fairly thin, for what it is).
That being said, absolutely everything about this production worked for me. Hugh and Sutton are doing an incredible job, as is the rest of the cast. Easily some of the finest child actors I've seen on Broadway. Is Hugh an incredible singer? No, but he does what is needed for the role and he's certainly not bad. He has exactly the charisma needed for someone to play Harold Hill. Sutton is underused here, but that's not her fault, it's just the role. I think she only dances twice, but she's fantastic for what she does. I could easily see Benanti or someone similar taking over this role. Even though the ensemble cast is phenomenal, I do think a big name would be necessary for HH once Hugh leaves to keep the show running.
During one scene on Wednesday evening, Sutton accidentally spit all over Hugh during her lines, inducing a 30 second giggling fit for both of them before continuing. The audience loved it.
I do think some of the sets could be a bit more inspired - multiple scenes take place in front of a backdrop with nothing else. Although the Wells Fargo Wagon was done in such a cool way!

I saw it yesterday and really enjoyed myself. It is a feel-good show and I left feeling uplifted. I agree that I missed more from Sutton but it is the role. Her Goodnight My Someone was quite lovely. I have these wonderful memories of her big tap number from Anything Goes and her comedic delivery in Charity. She can do so much more; this role is somewhat limiting. Hugh is Mr. Lightbulb and I love him for it.
I have to say one of my favorite numbers is "Pick-a- Little, Talk-a-Little." You can just tell that Linda Mugleston, Jessica Sheridan, Garrett Long, Rema Webb and Jayne Houdyshell are having a blast with this number. Glad there was a reprise as this was my first time seeing this show.
I was a bit disappointed with the set and costumes which I found to be a bit drab.

Barbara Cook (won a Tony) and Rebecca Lucker were both memorable as Marian on stage. Shirley Jones was memorable in the movie. All three sang the role as written. As for Sutton Ross, it's not the role; it's Sutton.

I’ve never heard of Marian being a “limiting” character where the actor is “underused.” It’s hard to bring up the three women mentioned by A Director and not think about their portrayals of Marian.

Hard to beat Barbara Cook's voice. I think Sutton did a good job.

Unless BWW's very own Sutton Ross has joined this production, I think you meant Sutton Foster.

It's not that she's "unmemorable," she was wonderful! it's just not a powerhouse role that we're used to seeing Sutton (Reno, Millie, etc). Compared to those roles, she is certainly underused. Compared to Harold, Marian is secondary character, IMO, which is the nature of the show.

I saw the Saturday matinee after braving the cold for a rush ticket (so worth it - got a great orchestra seat).
My expectations were admittedly low, but I thought the show was so delightful. I was smiling from ear to ear when I left and couldn't stop smiling for a solid 20-30 minutes. Hugh's charisma was infectious and Sutton was her amazing self as usual. It's far from a perfect production but I honestly didn't even care by the end.
I didn't find the dance sequences to be overly-long at all, and really loved how they staged Marian the Librarian. Not sure if they've cut anything, but the show started just after 2pm and we were out the door by 4:30.

Exactly. My Broadway DNA missed Sutton the powerhouse. It also misses Barbara Cook dearly.

The dance sequences have definitely been trimmed. I was at the first preview on 12/20 and saw it a second time this past Friday, 1/21 and the entire show was tighter. It was significantly improved, in my opinion.

I have a chance to see this show in April but it would be a Wed matinee... would Hugh and Sutton be likely to perform that show, all things being good?

They don't skip matinees unless it's scheduled or in an emergency.
