Good choice!
Who's seeing Grayson's Dally debut tonight?
No one. He’s now beginning March 5th per the show’s Insta caption.

Anyone here going to Brent Comer's (Darrel in ''The Outsiders'' ) show on Monday, March 3, at 7 p.m. at 54 Below in NYC? It's also live-streamed. For tickets:

Okay, let's try this again: who's attending Grayson's Dally debut TONIGHT?
(He had cited Danya Taymor's busy schedule as the reason for his weeklong delay — she has been attending rehearsals for her JOHN PROCTOR IS THE VILLAIN and he didn't get to spend enough "quality time" with her. All this to say, shouldn't he have been working with Taymor's associate in her absence?)

Yes, the show has a Resident Director/Associate Director, as well as a Choreography Supervisor and two associate choreographers. Those are the people who oversee all replacement rehearsals and put-ins alongside stage management. These people should be able to put new actors into the show without the involvement of the director.
Could be that the team felt he wasn't ready last week and needed another week to prep, and it's convenient to blame Taymor. This show has such an intricate staging, and the original company was a well-oiled machine.
So, what you’re saying is we should expect an announcement in a couple weeks Mandy Patinkin will be replacing Grayson?

I hadn’t seen this for a while so I went to the matinee this afternoon and first, I was shocked Brody was in. I had convinced myself there’s no way he’d be there. A few understudies and cast swaps but everyone was on top of their game. The show is still in A+ condition but the two things that I noticed and wanted to comment on were Brody and Emma. These two specifically have grown so exponentially in their roles, it was like I’d never seen them before. It’s not just acting either, it’s new choices vocally in some songs that make them sound even better and richer than I’ve ever heard - it makes me a bit sad they can’t re-record the cast album now.
And there were a few school groups today and they were just mesmerized and completely invested. I love seeing rows and rows of kids experience theatre like that.
